| General Chit-Chat Kind of like a lounge, just come in and talk about anything at all. Relax, this is like the water cooler at the office. |

I have gone several years having very few dreams. Not just that I don't remember them, but that I have no awareness whatsoever that I have dreamed, which leads me to believe that I have not. I used to have frequent vivid dreams as a child and teenager but since adulthood they all but stopped, other than the time I was on nicotine patches. (Those dreams were fun). So I guess my first question is, why was I not dreaming? Now here is the weird thing. I have been dating someone for about 2 months and when we spend the night together, I dream. Every time now. I remember at least a portion of each dream each time, except for one time I couldn't remember. So why is this? Am I more relaxed and sleeping more deeply? Or possibly more disturbed or anxious so sleeping not as deeply? Is there something about him specifically? I know that sounds weird but I have dated many other people during the time when I did not dream (~10 years) and they did not "make" me dream like he does.

Could be you are dreaming to get clues about your new love. You're firing on all burners, so to speak, all alert to signs and signals wondering if you have finally found your true soul mate. Dreams at this time can be little warnings: don't give up too much of your independence. It's a time of discovering each other's needs and vulnerabilities. Exploring your dreams will reveal much A DREAMS-TELLER
