Default Seeing the Future in my dreams

So since I was a kid I've had this ability. I dont know what dreams will become reality but some do. The dreams that have become reality havent been of major importance but just every day occurences. Recently I've been on yahoo answers and I notice about everyday their is someone asking about dreams predicting the future. It seems to me that most people ignore their dreams as if their just that "dreams." I'm not into the whole dream interpretation idea because I feel like every dream book I read has a different interpretation or symbol for a different occurence. I just dont buy it and I get mad at the people trying to make a profit off of fabrications. Does abyone know how to dream about future dreams?

Most popular perspectives of dreams and methods of interpreting them are predicated on traditional notions and misconception, in my opion. Dreams can be a reliable source of deeply personal insight when the method of translating them is rooted in the science of how the brain interprets its experience. Concisely, dreams are how our aroused brain, amid the sleep process, interpret the brainstem activations arising from the vestigial metabolic processes associated with the evolution of sleep. Essentially, the images in our dreams interpret mental experience and define the mental effects of something our dreaming brain believes it has experienced amid the sleep process. From this perspective, every dream image and experience is meaningful and can be defined as representing some mental effect. For example, dream food describe something we may mentally consume and dream houses interpret mental structures.

Regarding precognitive dreams, the unconscious brain functions that precipitate dreaming are activated by structures in the brainstem that are more recent in our evolution than those that activate our conscious brain functions. This suggests that our dreaming mind functions at a more evolved level than does our waking mind. Theoretically, our unconscious is capable of making cogent connections betweeen seemingly disconnected events to produce imagery suggesting a possible future outcome. This is like perceiving 2 + 2 to conceive an outcome of 4. Our unconscious (dreaming) mind is capable perceiving the effects of experiences that escape our conscious notice. I hope this provides a perspective you find helpful.

Question

hey sdifat,
how about giving a story about one particularly notable instance of an event that happened in waking life, that you dreamed about beforehand.

sdifat,
Hi I have this ability too....Sometimes its simple everyday life but for me mostly its huge events of my own personal life, or a family/friends personal life. and then sometimes its of our future of the human race.

Ive had both types of dreams where its either Strictly a dream dictionary type (not very vivid, but still important) OR Strictly precognitive (very Vivid & precise detail)....

and I dont need a dream dictionary to tell me what a precognitive dream means...I already know the answer.

Today, I was actually thinking....that sometimes its NOT just either or. Sometimes its BOTH. because to me these Cognitive dreams are from God....and God works in MULTIPLE Layers & Messages @ once. So If your really good at interpreting your own dreams as far as Precognitive, it can have that 1 meaning....& then an ADDITIONAL meaning as far as dictionary is concern.

And sometimes dictionary's are off, and sometimes not.....but Ill look & judge for myself if I believe it to be accurate.
HTH's!

There are so many mysteries bounding the human being and cosmos. Dream is the only mystery we are able to realize. I have reading so many stuffs regarding the dream but i am unable to come to a conclusion.

I haven't had one of these dreams in a while. When I had them I felt like they were almost warnings. Not of something life threatening but just something I had to know and wasn't allowing myself to believe till I saw it so clearly in my dreams. Not all dreams are like this though and sometimes they may seem to show us of pointless parts of the future but still pay them mind they may show you something of value one day.
I have very spiritual beliefs, my advice is to take those seemingly pointless dreams and push them further. This is not easy, but it is possible. If you are aware that you are dreaming [lucid sleep] attempt to focus on details occurring around you. Or before you go to sleep again attempt to meditate on the thought of that pervious dream, maybe it will re occur but continue further.

Hi,
Dreams are based on your experiences, thoughts and conscious daydreams. When some dreams seem to "come true" it is because you already thought about the event, or planned doing something but forgat about it. However it is a great bust to the "ego" to think one has this ability.
Something one dreams about or thinks about do come to pass by chance. It is like tossing a coin! heads or tails! Whatever you guess has an even chance of coming true. If you can predict that the coin will stand on it's edge, you can dream the future!
Cheers Wolfjk

Wink

Hello Sdifat,
I think you'll find alot of people here who have prophetic dreams. I have prophetic dreams as well as dreams based on my psychological issues on present times. Sad thing is symbols n circumstances such as feelings inside your dream and when you wake all play a factor in the interpretation. If you just focus on symbols, you most likely will not get an accurate interpretation, so remember your thoughts n feelings when interpreting. In time your dreams will become almost second nature, you'll wake knowing who when and why. Good luck!
Later,
Simplymoon
