Default Dream interpretations same for kids?

I was just wondering, do dream symbols mean the same thing in children's dreams as it does in adults? I know that what a symbol means varies from person to person, and can mean different things based on experiences and such, but everyone seems to have some sort of basic idea of what certain elements of dreams may mean. Do the same basic ideas apply to children's dreams? I've been wondering this, as people say that kids are more in tune to their "spiritual side", but as you have more life experience it may influence what something means, right?

Hi,
Childrens dreams are more visual in nature. The subconscious of a child does not create abstract ideas that a child could not understan. Giants and monsters, over-sized animals and items from stories they listen to are the basis for their dreams. However children are more intelligent than the adults would credit them with and often pick emotional distress in a family.
If the parents believe in ghosts and spirits and talk about it, it is very frightening for a young child. Often surfaces in nightmares.
Cheers Wolfjk
