Hi,
It might surprise you but you are quite normal!
We remember our dreams when something unusual happens in our sleep. Health problems; indigestion, fever, cold, stress, nervous breakdown, Psychological problems; embarassment defeat, arguments and relationship problems all cause dreams we're likely to remember. Drugs, medications and hard to digest foods also cause nightmares.
Count your blessings!
Cheers Wolfjk

There are books and such available that can teach you how to remember your dreams.
Try creating the intention without forcing the issue and let yourself remember.
The ego, for various reasons, may work against you here so don’t beat yourself up over it.

If you are not able to remember the dream means no need to worry. It is a very good sign. Sleeping without dream is more better.

Default Remembering Dreams

Weather you like it or not you are definitly dreaming you just really need to work hard on remembering. Try seting an alarm in the midddle of your sleep to wake you up, then think of nothing fresh just on what was going through your head when you were sleeping.

Default psychic test: dream recall

ofcourse you are dreaming. the reason you remember only nightmare is becasue they are more powerful than regular dreams. if you really want to remember your dreams you will have to practice on being aware of your dreams. start by trying to dream on a specific topic, than have a dream journal.

hope it will help you to recall your dreams !

I agree with you psychic.
When I started noticing that I was having more vivid dreams I would try to interact in my dreams as much as I could. I wanted to make sure I was very aware I was dreaming. It seemed to help me remember more and when I woke up I would start writing my dream in my journal. Every word I wrote would bring back more and more memory of my dreams.

Nope. Some people remember every dreams;and some people sometimes remember their dreams;and some people need to wake up at Rem state to remember dreams.(If you have anxiety dream, you'll be wake up and remember it).
Why this happens? We don't know yet,but we think genetics cause this.
If you insist on remember your dreams, you should sleep more than 8 hours. If your mind have enough sleep than you start to remember your dream, for that night

There is logic in it!! You need from 4 to 8 hours sleep a night. In this you have deep sleep and short periods of REM sleep when you move about a bit, or change sleeping position, get comfortable and go back to deep sleep. When you had enough sleep your subconscious wakes you with a waking dream. After this if you are lazy and want to have a "lie-in" you sleep a lighter kind of sleep near your waking level of consciousness. That is the reason you remember these dreams more!
Cheers Wolfjk
