upstairs scared - advice NEEDED!

ever since i moved into my current house that i live i (which was 8 or 9 years ago) i feel like i've been afraid of my upper level, where all the bedroom & one bathroom are. and i've always felt like im being watched. But honestly the farthest back that i can remember is when i had a doorbell for my room, which was at least a year after i moved in because it was after my step father died - i remember. the doorbell had rung itself many times, my mom always said it was my step father saying Hi and making sure all was well. not that that really helped.

my bathroom is literally 5 steps from my room and too this day i still sprint back and forth. but ever since i had a dream ( that is posted in the "nightmares" forum) of a man being in my mothers room, everything has gotten worse. Now, im way more afraid of going into my moms room at anytime of the day or night. I feel as if im being watched more times then before and with a stronger force. I have to be in or towards a corner of the room im in so i can see everything to make sure nothings there. i have problems turning my back on empty rooms. but most of all i cant look in mirrors for long periods of time.
Also, most of the gut feelings i get are always dead on & i keep hearing voices outside my house, but no ones ever there.

Am i just being very paranoid? Or could there actually be something else? please help!

I think their may be a spiritual being occupying your home..it may be malignant, or it may be a benign spirit that doesn't mean any harm and is just lost in between worlds and doesn't mean to scare you. It may need your help to pass over. Do you have any friends that know about this kind of stuff? Or a family priest, perhaps? Look for someone who has knowlege in this feild..they can probably help this lost soul find it's way to the Light. I believe a traditional blessing of your home is in order as well. Hope I could help!

Hey.....I know exactly what you are going through. When I was younger and lived in my parents home, I had the same experience.

There was one point where I was so afraid to go up the stairs my step-dad was unable to lift me from the ground, I was stuck there solid. He finally managed to move me after about 45 minutes and carried me up the stairs kicking and screaming frantically.....bearing in mind I was about 15 years old!! I was absolutley petrified of going into my room, where I knew something was in there....I could feel it.

Once I got to my room, I shut the main door. And to the right of the door was a cupboard holding towels and laundry etc, and I felt I had to open it as a double barracde for my actual bedroom door. I went to sleep eventually, but during the night I got woken up to a loud bang. I looked over and both the doors were open...I went to my parents bedroom, but they were fast asleep. It was one of the scariest encounters of my life (I have 3 or four of them!)

We did have the house blessed by our local priest, it helped for a while, but the other 3 encounters happened after the house was blessed, so not sure it helps all that much!!!
