| General Chit-Chat Kind of like a lounge, just come in and talk about anything at all. Relax, this is like the water cooler at the office. |

This story just came up on aol's front page... in case anyone is dreaming of pigs in the water!
What's happier than a pig in.. well, you know...? How about a porker in the Caribbean Sea? Bunches of feral pigs have become a common sight on the island of Big Major Spot in the Bahamas. Friendly and cute, the gregarious pigs have locals and tourists going hog wild when they decide to go for a swim. We guess there's no need to roll around in mud and filth in order to cool off when you live on the shores of the crystal clear Caribbean. The sight of swimming swine is so entertaining that the piggies are becoming a tourist attraction in and of themselves. The people keep the pigs coming back for more too. "Because locals bring food, the pigs will run into the water and actually swim out to the oncoming boats," underwater photographer Eric Cheng told the UK's Daily Mail. "It is strange enough to see pigs laying around on tropical beaches of white sand, but to see them charge into the water to greet oncoming boats is just bizarre." Cheng and his team -- who had come to the island to photograph sharks and stumbled upon the porcine phenomenon quite unexpectedly -- took to the sea for a special photography session with the snorkeling porklings. The pigs had no problem cozying up to the camera; they're real hams! |

Yes, there was a cute photo with the article of a pig out in the water with a human, swimming. LOL!
Now *that* is the sort of thing I'd be likely to have a precognitive dream about! My ex was a nut for pigs. He always wanted to have one for a pet, but fortunately, our house was zoned for no farm animals. So he's carve them out of wood and collect ones he saw that were cute. They are pretty funny, going out to meet boats, that are probably more used to dolphins! |

Heehee! I found an adorable little flying pig, about one and a half inches long, carved out of bright pink Rhodonite, and just had to buy it. It was at a local Rock Hounds gem show. Too cute! It's the only pig in my house now!

LOL! I was actually referring back to the pig carvings and statues that my former significant other carved and collected. Besides, now he's gone from over 300 pounds at 5'5" to being a skinny old man, because he got his stomach stapled or snipped or something. I saw a recent photo of him and he looks as if he aged twenty years! But thin!!!
Lily is such a dainty little eater, I can't hardly accuse her of piggishness. I love to eat, but try to keep it healthy. My big problem, with arthritis and fibromyalgia, is getting enough exercise to keep my metabolism running efficiently. I put on weight without eating a whole lot nowadays, just because my metabolism is that of a slug. I just had my lovely mandarin chicken salad for lunch, mmmmm... |
