I know, Mwyna!
I actually started an email list some time ago called Precognition, Prophecy, and Dreams, which lasted just long enough for me to realize that some people are Disaster Junkies! That was so not where I wanted my list to go. I wanted to get information that could actually HELP people, not try to hype the FEAR factor through the roof, and attract Conspiracy Nuts. But I think some people get off on it, like they do with Horror Movies, Roller Coasters (and oh, they're much more exciting when someone just got decaptitated on one, you know! Or got their foot cut off.), and other amusement park dangers, Evil Knievil and his ilk, etc., etc., etc.
Our goal if we consider ourselves spiritual people should be towards helping, healing, loving, and letting this other stuff go it's own way. They don't realize they're *feeding* it! I think these disaster dreams are a red-herring, intended to get people who are Excitement Junkies off track, and don't seem to serve much other purpose. I've tried posting some more useful precognitive dreams in the Prophecy section, but kind of gave up, as it's not exciting and titillating and scintillating, so nobody's interested. Who cares if I get a heads-up on a developing health problem in a dream, and the advice necessary to heal it for myself... they want earthquakes, tsunamis, and tornadoes, oh, my! Hurricanes, diseases, and volcanoes, to die!
The focus is so WRONG!
Some of my former list members were on Earth Boppin', so I posted the link for that in the Prophecy section. Maybe they'd like it better there! It's certainly disruptive to working with interpretation though.
You can tell they're junkies when you offer positive alternatives to having nightmares, like learning shielding for example, and no one listens or tries it. They LIKE it! They're HOOKED on it! It's apparently the best drug in town!
Shrug!
