Palehorse is the admin or owner I guess, & was who the "welcome to the site" message was sent from when I joined (probably sent automatically). I looked at his/her last posts (2007 if I remember right) & noticed that he/she mostly only posted to quell the religious arguments that people kept starting. I also noticed him say in one post that he has another name he uses on here, & to have fun figuring out who he is, but I couldn't even begin to guess if he is indeed still around and posting. I won't bother him though, unless I see things REALLY getting out of control & nobody doing anything about it & unless it seems absolutely necessary.
"The Tombs of Anak" was part of "The Cooper Kids Adventure Series" by Frank Peretti (about a family of archeologists)... Book 3 I think. I used to read A LOT growing up, & used to always enter reading competitions held by the Church I was raised in. Of all the books I read in the Church library, most of my top 10 favorites were written by Frank Peretti, because they were so imaginative and interesting. This book may not be as captivating as some of his other stuff (Lillith and The Oath are my favorites) since this series was written for teenage readers (& it's fiction, so you may only find subtle hints & similarities), but it should be a fairly quick read & I'm interested to know if you think it seems inspired by the stories of the annunaki (since you've read more factual info than I have so far & are likely to catch more of the "hints" than me). I've heard the Etruscan tests mentioned before... I'll have to check them out. A few weeks ago I found a book called "Gnostics: The First Christian Heretics" & I read most of it in one sitting, because it made a lot of sense in light of my own beliefs, and it also helped me understand some things me and Iris had said a day or 2 before about spaghetti. Now that work's out of the way I have the next 2 days off, but I need some sleep so I'll see you around. Dream well. |

What a shame. This forum has lost a valuable poster.

I'm not sure I'd understand, but it wouldn't bother me if that's what you mean. I had some bad habits and tried my share of drugs as a teenager, but unlike a junkie, unlike most of my old friends, I had enough self control to quit something as soon as I saw myself becoming a slave to it, and one by one, I even had to say goodbye to nearly every last one of these old friends as we had less and less in common. I haven't yet felt comfortable enough with posting any recent dreams in these public forums, and many of the ones I HAVE posted are crazier ones from various times in my past (some from the years I was partying & doing drugs I'm sure), so that might explain some conclusions you may have drawn about my handle or a dream I posted seeming drug induced, but I really don't "party" much these days & now I'm very careful what I put in my body & I call myself a junkie for information intentionally because it fits me. Through every hard time in my life, the only way I've made it through is by learning more so I can better see where I'm going. A junkie, in my opinion, is anyone that does anything too much (eats too much, watches too much tv, etc.) & lets it control them. I spend too much time reading and thinking and perhaps not enough time going out and doing things with others, so I think the name fits me.

It doesn't matter if Iris uses herbs to heal ailments. I use herbs to heal ailments and have done for years. I also go to the doctor for serious things which thanks be is very rare. Iris isn't here to speak for herself but I'd guess she does too since she's never said otherwise! If Iris wanted to share her experiences ( or if I do for that matter) who cares as long as no one is being harmed by this. As far as I have seen she's mostly into putting herbs and oils onto her skin. I'd guess drinking nettle tea, which I do would seem far weirder then that. And it doesn't matter Nfo if you used to try drugs as a teenager. You won't have been the first teen to do so and thanks be you stopped. Am I the only one who doesn't feel the need to know these things about every person here? I'm sure there are things from all of our pasts that we aren't exactly proud of. Stand up please the person who says they do not regret at least one thing they have said or done in their life and I'll call them out as someone in denial. However we are NOT required to bare our souls at the door here, nor should we expect ridicule if we choose to do so. Where have any of us been given the right to sit in judgement of each other just because we signed up to this website? Judge if someone breaks the rules here sure ie spamming, etc but beyond that? Nah.
Why am I even saying these things anyway? As far as I know this is about common sense and respect even if you do not like someone, even if you like someone and that someone doesn't like you for whatever reason..... Last edited by mwyna : 07-13-2009 at 12:00 PM. |

Nfo, Mwyna, and Inphanta, thank you... but THIS is the problem:

I recommend herbs because they WORK for me, because I get WELL using them, and that should be obvious if you actually read and pay attention, rather than just skimming to look for something to hassle a person about. I take no prescription drugs. I haven't seen a doctor in about ten years for anything! I haven't needed to! The only over-the-counter drugs I take are a child's dose of Benadryl, and a very occasional Tylenol. The prescription drugs I used to take were what were doing me harm, not my herbs and aromatherapy and Reiki. A lot of what I write is about what I *used* to have, and have worked through... if you could read, you'd know that! I don't have any life-threatening health problems at all, just a bit of osteoarthritis, normal at my age, and fibromyalgia, which I'm managing well with herbs and nutrition. Neither was caused by taking herbs! Now, I don't know what you think gives you the right to trash people the way you do, but you'd best stay off of MY case! Not that I'm going to be posting much of anything, but I may still read on occasion, at least until I find another forum, though I'm sure there'll be someone there screwing that up too, there usually is. I'll see you if you keep this up! You seem to think you're the official hazer for some fraternity or something, and you started in on me almost as soon as I arrived, and I've seen you do it to others as well. Well, most adults know hazing is not a good thing by now. People get hurt. I'm not oversensitive. You are an insensitive old coot, who seems to think your age gives you the right to mistreat everyone you encounter. Dreamwork often involves sensitive issues for everyone, and a forum where there is all this fighting going on is not a good environment to do dreamwork in. It's like watching some Cock Fight with you and Gordon, for gosh sakes! Or Pitbulls. Anyway, I don't know when I'll come read again, but I wish you'd grow up! And that Gordon would stop starting threads that are obviously there to promote his business, and not for much else. I see, in any case, why so many people post once, and never come back! |

Well, I'm off to bed. Not sure how long it will take me to drum up the energy to check back here! I've sure gotten a lot more done by staying offline, and since I needed that, it's probably a good thing for awhile! |
