Default weird half asleep movement

Hi,
It happens to many people. In the process of going to sleep, some muscles relax sooner than the others, and you jerk when they catch up.

Default Legs shoot up when half asleep

Dear writer: Welcome to Dreamcentral. I liked the reply by wolf to your question, altho I have not heard of that before. Its quite natural for young people to have dreams of weightlessness or floating. Basicaslly the legs of humans are a problem anyway. Being the most distant from the heart they most generally endure poor circulation and adequate clearing from the lymphatic system. Along toward middle age people develop excruciating nightime leg cramps most frequently in the middle of sleep. thats a warning that unless changes are made soon a person is on the road to a stroke. I would like to recommend the use of cocoa butter oils or Shea body oils on the legs and elssewhere as a dailey maintenance routine. The best policy is to apply the oils, massage them in a bit by hand , let them sit for 20 or 30 minutes and shower the excess oils off. The practice of showering every day without replenishing the oils a shower removes from ones skin is a dangerous practice. I myself do body work (massage on my friends occassionly) massage itself is a means of communication. And I also have a massage bed in my apartment. The employment of motorized platforms like massage beds is expected to move our human lifespans from 70 to 120 years.Best regards

Back when my drinking was really getting out of control I sometimes punched/kicked a dent or hole in the wall by the bed as I slept, but I have no idea what I was dreaming about since alcohol made me sleep even deeper than I already do.

beLLa: That's hilarious. Never heard of someone SPITTING in their sleep. I once had a friend tell me an embarrassing story about her brother sleepwalking to the bathroom, opening the laundry hamper right next to the toilet, and peeing in it.

Ha ha, this happens to me a lot. I will dream that I am walking along and I trip or something, and it jerks me awake. It usually happens in the 'half awake half asleep' state.

Last night, my friend told me of a time he was swimming and accidentally inhaled a little water. That night when he was sleeping, he had a dream he was swimming and started to drown. He was sputtering and choking, which awoke him, and he was literally coughing up the water when he woke! Crazy stuff. Dreams can be very helpful.

I often feel as though I'm falling and have to quickly jerk myself awake. It's pretty startling but otherwise not a problem. Once, though, I was sort of drifting off to sleep, half conscious, when I had this quick vision of myself walking down the sidewalk with my wedge shoes on, one of the heels getting stuck in a crack, and my ankle twisting. I woke up, gasped so hard it burned my throat, and twisted both my ankles to either side like I had in the dream. I felt like an idiot when I woke up. It was quite a wake up call!

I have had the "falling" jolt, and another odd "pow" noise in my head when I have oxygen depletion from getting the blankets over my face during sleep. "pow" wakes me up, so I don't die.
