| General Chit-Chat Kind of like a lounge, just come in and talk about anything at all. Relax, this is like the water cooler at the office. |

My grandad died before i was old enough to properly know him. Dad said me and my Grandfather would have had alot in common and never would stopped talking to each other if he was still around. I now have his beret. Every time i wear or keep his beret close to me i fell safe. and like i said before I am a German WWII nut. I always feel like that i react to a situation like a pround German soldier would have been, i am willing to fight for my country win or lose. I also find myself speaking in a German accent every now and then, i also say German words alot. When I get put down i dont take it in, I use that as a motive to do better, when my friend says i am wrong i will not stop until i convince him my point is correct. I am overflowing with pride in what i do. My friend thinks im crazy for running out in the rain in a thunder storm, I take it in and endure, when people say its cold or to hot i dont say anything, where-ever people say its to late or i have failed i dont stop, the funny thing is i am not german nor did any of my family serve for Germany, in fact my grandparents where POW's of Germany, the only tie i have with Germany is my dads uncle who fought for the italians while they fought for Germany, I always feel like my Grandfather and/or some German Soldier seem to be helping me through my daily life, its not something i wish but i always feel like someone is there and makes me do these things, do you think it is plausable for my grandfather and/or a german sldier to be looking over me. I am a strong christian believer. Oh yeah my friend keeps making the comment i speak like a soldier who was in WWII.. The only thing that i dont have courage or willingness to do is ask a girl out.

I think it´s possible, heritage flows weirds sometimes, gaelic´s names and simbols were present in my life, hence this I found my mom´s bloodline. My grandpa´s vater was german, that explains a few things in my case.

In a sociologist point of view, you are experiencing what a child would experience that admires a superhero or wants to play pretend. You obviously admire your grandfather for what he did in WWII but, I don't think you fully understand the true meaning of what happened in WWII and just reading that you want to speak a German language from the fact that your grandfather was in WWII and you keep his items tells me you have an imagination and want to pretend to be something better than what you are. It disturbs me that you want to learn a language because of a war that happened. WWII is all about the Holocaust and many innocent people were murdered.

Besides my dads uncle the rest of my family were POW's of the Germans. I know the germans were bad. My grandmother a POW said the americans bombed her camp. Im sorry to say but both sides of the war were bad. the "goodies" and the "badies". Not all Germans served hitler because they loved him they did it because they thought the russians were going to kill all of them. I don't love the Facist ways. i only have an interest. I research about wwii and all about it. IT's my area of expertist. I came here asking for help not to be put down.
