I joined this group to talk about my dream experiences to see if anyone has simillar experiences, or could tell me a little bit more about what I am experiencing.
So in the past year or so, I have experienced what I describe as, Image Flashing. It is where I am in a situation and I realized that I have already seen it happening. One of the most vivid was I was working at a campground stocking the shelves with ceramic knomes (how ugly?!) and as I put them on the shelves, I had realized I had already seen myself in that exact position at that exact time with those exact knomes. I recently had another where I was sewing at a friend's house when I looked up to the window and saw the window sill with different colored threads and the blue sky in the background. I realized that I had already seen this image before, the exact one I was looking at. About a half an hour I was sitting in her living room talking when I realized I had also seen that image before, of her sitting on the couch, and the lighting with the same exact lighting. It doesn't feel like I have been there before, but it feels like I was meant to be there at that moment and I already had a small glimpse of it. It is only in the exact moments that I even remember these dreams/images, but I know I had them and I can even realize that the dreams come about 2-3 weeks to a month before the actual event. Does anyone have simillar situations? Or can tell me a little more about these "Image Flashing"? |

Relax! It is your imagination working overtime! In your profession you are constantly visualising - Creating pictures, designing scenarios. Your subconscious uses these in your dream. It may be that you already thought of the picture or "Is this a dagger I see before me" (WS) It is one of the tricks your subconscious plays on you to put your brain into gear in the morning! Hi Leah,
I think you're describing what is commonly called "deja vu." I personally believe the reason behind deja vu is that we've dreamed the situation precognitively, but then forgotten the dream, until the incident happens and brings it back to mind. I had one *really* embarrassing incident of it when my kids were little, the first one I understood that it was from dreams. I was at one son's school for a parent-teacher meeting, and the teacher was going over his report card, and I said, but I've already seen this before. The teacher looked at me as if I'd just grown antlers and purple spots, and I still insisted I'd seen it before. I realized later that I had dreamed it. I felt like such a nut! Now I know better than to mention that I've seen it before to anyone not in the know about precognitive dreams... LOL! |

Deja Vu, yeah the movie was pretty good; I know of a group that does the same thing with the "image flashing" but they don't call it that. Part imagination part divination.
