Dear Sowelu,
Thanks for posting this interesting article. As a work of fiction it is brilliant, however one must be aware that dream reality is different. Simple experiments will show that dreams are an important part of life. If you consider that dreams can be induced and altered at will you will know that the dream realities the article speaks of are created by the writers own conscious mind. Dream reality can best be observed by watching someone dream and studying real unadulterated dreams. If you read about the work of sleep clinics you will see that the actual reality of dreaming is different from the imagined one. Cheers Wolfjk

I simply posted an article for contemplation. An article specifically and directly related to dreams, which this site is all about. That's it. So tell me... is there some reason you feel a need to exert a sense of authority over me or my point of view? An opinion is fine, but to dictate reality to another is something else again. I respect your right and ability to determine your reality for yourself, in fact I insist you have that right. Always. What is it in you that disallows the same for me or someone else? Do you feel safer if life and everyone in your environment conforms to your beliefs? Does allowing for the possibilities represented in that document frighten you somehow? So much so that you can only label it fiction lest it seep into your consciousness as even remotely germane to your life? I can understand if life has not revealed itself to you in the same way it has me. I respect that your experiences seem to bear out your perspective. Can you respect that absolutely nothing in my life experience brings me to see things as you do? I have difficulty understanding why you felt it necessary to post what you did instead of simply letting the article stand. You didn't "open a space for discussion", you dictated "What is" as if you hold that authority for another. It begs questions. Does it matter to you if I or another finds something of value in that article? You sure made swift with the dogma intended to shut it down before it even had a chance to open a new door within. Why? There are almost 7 billion human beings on this planet, all with unique perspectives, irrespective of the prevalent social mental programming... is it important to you that every one of them see life only as you do? Understand things only as you do, and if they don't they're wrong? Is that the gist of cause for your post? Just wondering. Thanks for the fodder... Sowelu |
