Well, me and my best friend Annie believe in alot of things like that including karma. Anyways,
She brought me one as part of my birthday present a few months ago, the women at the shop told her to keep the everything clear of it so it can have full affect and wont be blocked by anything, though she didnt tell me this and hung it up in my window for me.... I had no curtains then, i then used towels to stop the moonlight shinning so brightly into my room. My nightmares had eased off then suddenly i dream about all my worsed feelings and thoughts all over again. I then told her the other day i think its doing the opposite and she freaked and told me to clear the space around it, i removed one of the towels and pushed it along the curtain rail into its own space, i havnt had a bad dream in days since i did that ^^. And she hasnt had any since she's had hers ^^. Not even her creepy reacuring ones, and previosuly they've helped me to, so yes, i do very much believe they work!! ^^, but just incase i think now i read some posts in this topic i think i shall attach and weave in some items that remind me of whats close to my heart and soul and remind me of happy times ^^ |

Personally, I also somewhat believe in dream catchers.
I mean the first time I made one was in grade two or three. Now back then I just hung it up because it was pretty. Didn't think of it really. As the years wore by, sometime after I moved upstairs into a different room (around grade ten or eleven) and I forgot the catcher downstairs. And I'm not sure when but I remember having a horrific dream, something that disgusted me so very much that I've mostly repressed it now. I woke up from that dream so scared and rushed to my bathroom and made a dream catcher out of an earring and some tooth floss (it was what I had), and it worked. I've never had a dream that bad ever again. Weird dreams, yes, but I like weird dreams. No nightmares though. |

Yes I agree, there has to be belief put into the dream catcher for it to work for you, and I also agree and understand how they perhaps can work for the Native Americans.
As for me, when I was little i had this terrifying reoccuring dream every single night. So after about two weeks into it, I thought my dream catcher was giving me the bad dreams, and I made my mom remove it. lol That is very interesting about the bead though, I've never heard of that before. |
