when you sort of start going into a dream and everything starts getting surreal. what is it called?

its my best time of inspiration. i sometimes have to get out of bed again to scribble down nonsensical poetry. i can remember it more vividly than actual dreams as well.

"Daydreaming"
Some call it "reverie" others "Hypnogogic imagery.

You remember them more because you are still near the waking level of consciousness.
