General Chit-Chat Kind of like a lounge, just come in and talk about anything at all. Relax, this is like the water cooler at the office.

Why do I enjoy imagining that I face death?

Dreaming and daydreaming are closely related. When you're trying to go to sleep it is difficult to tell whether you're dreaming, daydreaming or still awake.
In another post you wrote this about yourself:

Sexual orientation is imprinted in your character at some point in your childhood.
"S" for sadism, after De Sade; a person who likes to beat or humiliate others,
"M" for massochism, after Von Massoche; a person who likes to be beaten or humiliated.

no, I don't have any troubles telling those apart... the difference between dreams and daydreams are that when daydreaming, I am in control of everything and I also have to make up the story using my fantasy. when dreaming, I control myself only, not what happens around me. even if it still is my subconsciousness doing that, dreams may contain an element of surprise that doesnīt exist in my daydreams. also although I never notice when I fall asleep, I always know when Iīm still awake.
and yes, I might sometimes be a boy in either dreaming or daydreaming, only when I dream I donīt get to choose... plus I might be changing back and forth as the scenes change^_^'

oki, now that I have read about that SM thing I suppose you are right, I might be tending towards the M. at least it's clear that I'm not S. I don't enjoy thinking about sex though, nor torture, but perhaps it explains a little... thank you^_^

My apologies for not being clear. The soul never dies.

It is the ideas, feelings, attitudes, beliefs, behaviors and fears of the human being that die these "little deaths". And through that... the human being expands their understanding of Who They Truly Are, which is the Soul-in-form.

The human being rarely understands this very well, but the Soul knows this. It is an eternal truth. And so the Soul inspires the human to encounter these deaths... through fantasy, imaginative exploration, experiences and relationships, as well as dreams... throughout the human life.

While this is the method by which the human being grows... the manner in which the human being responds to these urgings and inspirations from their Soul... is how the Soul grows.

Blessings!

Iv had some dreams like this and soem i have enjoyed (Fantasy wise once i had the dream was some sort of tyrant and i was slain by a knight of some sort) but only if they are either happy (the death helped people) or what a prefer in fantasy (i am fond beast and the such they be da essence of awesomeness in my eyes if one got slain in a dramatic way that would be a good fantasy story to me. )

the dreams i see of myself dying by the hand of some one only gets to me if it was wrongful (misunderstood purpose) like murder or if it was wrongly placed.

Other than that they are dreams that i don't mind.

In Creation all things are possible, of course. So indeed, there are those who "never die", so to say, and they too grow as a soul. The difference is really only how quickly. Those who choose growth through deaths, choose what's called the "short cycle" of growth. Those who choose growth without death, choose what's called the "long cycle". There is no judgment of either path, both are equally Divine, equally edifying... one is just more swift... and because of that, some feel it's more gratifying or satisfying. More amazing and awesome... but it's not for everyone, no.

Blessings!
