Hi,(Jehovah is gods real name)(psalm 83:18)(Isaiah 12:2 )Isaiah 26:4)
(note:Some bibles may substitute his name for god or lord)(i explained this in my thread the real question is are you true christians?) Soul is a person, animal or the life of a person. Genesis 2:7 states: “Jehovah God proceeded to form the man out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man came to be a living soul.” The first man, Adam, was a soul.(person) (soul is a person) (1 Thessalonians 5:14)"On the other hand, we exhort YOU, brothers, admonish the disorderly, speak consolingly to the depressed souls, support the weak, be long-suffering toward all". (Leviticus 23:30) As for any soul that will do any sort of work on this very day, I must destroy that soul from among his people (Soul can also be an animal) “Let the earth put forth living souls according to their kinds, domestic animal and moving animal and wild beast of the earth according to its kind.” (Genesis 1:20, 24) (soul can also be the life of a person) (Ezekiel 18:4)After that Jehovah said to Moses in Mid´i·an: “Go, return to Egypt, because all the men who were hunting for your soul are dead.” The bible does mention the going out of a soul(life) and coming back of a soul (life). In the bible when Rachel was giving birth to a son, the Bible says: “As her soul was going out (because she died) she called his name Ben-oni; but his father called him Benjamin.” (Genesis 35:18) And referring to the resurrection of a widow’s son, (1 Kings 17:22)states: “Jehovah listened to Elijah’s voice [in prayer], so that the soul of the child came back within him and he came to life. However, remember that one meaning of the word “soul” is “life.” Hence, Rachel’s soul was going out in that her life was going out. Some Bibles use the phrase “her soul was going out” as “her life was ebbing away” (Knox) and “she breathed her last” (Jerusalem Bible). Similarly, in the case of the widow’s son, it was life that returned to the boy.(1 Kings 17:23.) The bible shows that man is a soul.(person) People do not have an immortal soul. The bible states “The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all.” (Ecclesiastes 9:5) If your interested with the information here you can check out Jehovah's Witnesses: Watchtower Society Official Web Site If you have questions you can go to the above site. They use the bible to help answer your questions.Jesus did say "your word is truth".(john 17:17) |

What do you think of this comparison?
Father, Son and Holy Ghost Body, mind and spirit The idea is that all are one, and this being said we are all one with God. Consider this comparison in the way that you would consider a macrocosm and a microcosm. A common example of micro vs macro is; a toilet flushing (micro) compared to the whirling of a hurricane (macro) also the hurricane can be considered micro to the whirling of a galaxy or a black hole. Just some fun thoughts to play with. Peace be with you |

I not going to argue with anyone on this thing but, I will share my opinion and what I know to be true.
1sam28:10 through 1 sam 28:14 If a soul is just life it's self and when we die we just die. Then how did the Witch of Endor reach Samuel through the grave? Also, there are many places in the bible that speak of eternal life. In the texdas reseptas (and I know I did not spell that right lol) which is the bible in it’s original Hebrew and Greek language you will see that in many places soul has more than one meaning it can represent a physical implication like in Gen 2:7 or it can have a spiritual implication like in Heb 10:39 to say there is no such thing as a immortal soul I think would be a grave error and in total disagreement with the bible. |

but the word soul, when you take it back to it's original language, I think it was greek, it actually turns out just to mean breath. The people back in the day believed that your breath was a sign of life and didn't really fully understand it. Thats why whenever someone died they noticed that they had no more soul, or that they weren't breathing.
That is my opinion on the soul.
