The Pit Dream

Last night before going to bed I went into prayer. But please, don't be judgmental of me when I say certain things. I can't answer for anyone except me, and so I can be very hard on myself. Though at the time I don't see me being hard on myself as much as I see truth about me; and some of those truths, well...are unfortunately truths. I hope that makes some sense?

In my relationship with God I realize I can give God nothing, but I want to give Him...me. Because (it's so simple) I'm so messed up! I don't care to tell God I can't depend on me for anything. Sometimes I want to ask God, 'Are You sure You chose me to participate in a divine plan that mingles and connects with Your other people?'' Are You sure You can trust me? Father, I was a sinner! The worst sinner when You gave me salvation! Sometimes I still ask for forgiveness. It is like saying, "I am not good for you Father, but You are good for me." Serving God is good for me...it benefits me to covet His will. Whatever it is I need He has given it and continues to give it. Anway....I had a dream

In this dream I was in a small car. My two younger brothers were with me. Something was wrong with the car and I went to a garage. The garage was two story and so I drove up this incline into the bay on top. There was a rectangular pit and the hydraulic tracks from the first floor formed like a bridge in the pit. So I slowly drove on the tracks over the pit area. This gave them clearance to work beneath the car.

There was a female mechanic. She told me I parked over the pit correctly and she would be back directly. There are things in a dream that a person just cannot explain how they happen, or the things they do and so it is in this dream.

Anyway, for some reason we were all on the front hood of the car, the three of us. I was kind of fearful. I would not look over the sides of the car, I felt I should not do that; because it would really make me sick. So I stayed as still as I could in the middle of the hood. While here I was hearing the word endless, and now and again the word pit.

My youngest brother, Kennith, was to my right, and he slid off! I was screaming for someone to save him, and I was trying to move quick on this tenacious piece of equipment to grab him. But suddenly he was throwed up on the hood again from someone I did not see on the hood. I still had not seen over the car. I still had this sense to not look over the sides.

My other brother, Roger, was to my left and he messed around and slid over the side. I paniced and saw him grabbing which did not cause him to fall directly, but caused him to kind of slide to the side and grab hold of the driver's door handle. I knew I had to save him. I moved to the side to see how to reach him, and in doing so I looked over...into the pit. I thought I would faint, I really got sick at my stomach.

Roger was hanging by the door handle, but it was like the car had tilted some, but it had not in fact. His legs were dangling over an endless void! The walls of this pit were red, like the look of coals in a coal burning stove. There were no plasma flares or anything, but a wave of heat would move along the walls. It reminded of the ocean waves as they get closet to the shore. This wave would cause the embers to become hotter. I am saying this place had no bottom to it, it was endless! I got so sick at my stomach when I saw this. In my head I was thinking a person would free fall forever. A person in this situation would suffer tremendous fear in thinking they would eventually hit something solid. Not knowing when...so this would make one scream from fear forever.

I yelled at Roger to hold on that I would do something to save him. I stood and was balancing myself. I thought how will I save us both on this slick car, we both may fall. I yelled again, "Roger hold on! I am coming for you! I may risk losing my own life, but I am going to help you!" His face...the terror was eating him up. I did not have the strength to save us both. He is a big guy. He works out at the gym, and he is heavy.

I had no strength until I placed my foot to the place underneath the windshield. I tell you the truth, I was holding to something that I could not see. I held out my hand to him, and could see his feet in empty air over the coals. All I could think was I needed to save him! He depends on me. He threw his hand from the car handle, and it was perfect the way he was able to grasp my extended hand, and with little effort I was able to get him up over the side.

I sat in the middle again. The scene of the pit...I was just sick. Then the next thing I knew we were in the car again. The female mechanic said everything was good to go or something. She said she was going to release the hydraulic system and we would be able to exit out on the ground floor. My mind went racing, "The pit! No, don't do that! It's the pit!" But it was too late we were going down, and I felt my heart palpitating vigorously in my chest. I was in a panic! We were slowly being lowered and I noticed the edges of the concrete floor ( I am still in a state of panic) and directly underneath it I began to see the walls of the ground floor. I was cheering inside of me, "Yay! We are okay...it isn't the other pit! Thanks Father, You are merciful!"

What an interesting dream. You posted this in chit-chat, so I'm not sure you're wanting an interpretation. I'll give you some of my passing thoughts on it from my Christian perspective, but feel free to ignore anything I say .

The car represents how you go forward through life toward your ultimate destination. Most people hope the final destination is a better place, so when the car breaks down it symbolizes an obstacle in the path.

The female mechanic is a wise guide, someone who can help you fix the car and get you back on the path. But as you're waiting, stuck on top of the hood of the car, going neither forward or backward, your brothers begin to slide off. The lift itself symbolizes that the three of you are not on solid ground regarding some spiritual/religious level. You manage to stay on the hood of the car while you're on the lift, which means although some element(s) of the faith is based on air, you're solid for the most part. Your brothers need you. Fortunately, one gets back up when he's helped by a force besides yourself own . . . the other can't. He needs your help specifically, lest he'll be lost forever.

To me the pit is an obvious symbol of hell. The unseen thing you grab onto, which gives you the strength to pull him out, is the unseen power of God.

In the dream might mean you and your brothers are riding in a mechanically unsound car, which managed to get you part way to your destination, but due to mechanical difficulties it can't get you any farther. This might mean you have some spiritual truths, but are lacking in others, which is hindering your journey to the final destination. You haven't come into the fullness of the Truth yet, and if you don't, you're in danger of falling into the pit, especially the brother who dangles over the side.

The female mechanic is somehow key to getting your car functioning properly, so your car can return to the concrete and travel on solid ground, thus continueing on the path to your destination. Seems, of the three brothers, you will come into the Truth first, which influences your brothers to follow you later. You will be tested, and until you pass, you can't move forward, spiritually speaking.

Good interpretation Morning Star. Something minor was wrong with the car. Going through the dream I realized I knew the female mechanic. She was an angel and her employment had to do with repair. We are lifted up for this repair. There are fleshly things in us that need to be repaired. The inner workings, like the engine is the inner part of the car, the motor that makes the car go. The angel wasn't excited about anything, or worried.

I know some people do not believe in female angels and in Zechariah 5 (the Bible) mentions 2 that had wings like stork wings.

My brothers are those brothers in the Lord. Some accidently slide off and I cry for their rescue and a hand is given; and some just mess around and fall over the edge to which I say that they are still able to be saved and will lay down my own life in order to rescue them. I am holding on to God for strength, but maybe actually He is holding on to me.

The angel returns and she gives no advice or suggestions about the car. She does give me direction as to where to go. She will release the hydraulic lift...because she knows all systems are go. That is her professional opinion. I can't go until she says so. I had this feeling she had something to do with the ministry God loans to people.

She then releases the lift and I am able to go to the ground floor and exit. The ground floor is earth things.
