Sleeping with the TV On

I always sleep with TV on. But I try to always make sure I put the sleep timer on so I don't wake up to a weird movie on the TV. I have not found that leaving the TV on effects my dreams though

I like to sleep in complete silence, when i was in india though last year the noise outside was so loud i had to leave the tv on, every morning though i would wake up to dora the explorer singing her tunes, i hate that show and her squeeky voise.. ahhhhh

I once had the radio on. It had music playing really quietly. There wads a track i really like and I had this wonderful etheral dream... really religious like.

The truth is that dream interpreting is not so easy. Yes you can tell what dream symbols mean by matching them up to real life. For instance a fight scene in a dream may depict some real life fight or frustration that you are struggling against. But interpreting dreams blind is not so easy. I feel asleep one time watching Disney with my little sis and the next thing i knew i was dreaming about Handy Manny it was really weird
And my older sis was dreaming about this guy she likes and then he started purring when she woke up our cat was laying beside her purring lol

I put the tv on sleep timer everynight, maybe im just wierd but it seems that everything that is on tv effects my dreams, like i was watching forensic files and wholly crap did i have some scary murder type dreams, and everything else that is on tv is usually directly correlated to my dreams, alot of the time ill have dreams that im watching tv and i get wound up inside of the tv and become some sort of sick part in the show. this is just as of lately though it never used to effect me but it now seems that that my dreams are troubling perhaps it has to do with the upending my life has taken recently...

I remember dreaming once that I was on The Wheel of Fortune. I was a contestant, but got so irritated at Alex Tribeck because when it was my turn to spin, he wouldnt talk to me. He would just nod in my direction OR skip my turn altogether! I woke up and The Wheel of Fortune was on. The audio from the show was obviously "live" from the tv in my dream! That's why he never directly talked to me.

Hi, this is my first post here.

i am very careful what i watch on tv
the mind is the canvas for heaven and hell.

once i drifted into the hypnogogic state while a charlie brown animation was playing on the tv,
it was like i was hearing the words from a different, somewhat profound, perspective
the same happened when listening to a bob dylan CD
as is usually the case, it was quickly forgotten, as it seemed to to have a lot more depth (profundity) to it.

another thing, has anyone else noticed subliminal flashes when watching the simpsons?, (they are not in color),
they are too quick for me to make out what they are.

I always leave my PC on, but I dont watch tv much. usually I have a low memory power when it comes to dreams any way. hehe
