Dream of Owl and Subsequent Sighting

I have never even thought about an owl...until a week ago. I dreamed of an owl. Then on a recent trip to visit family I saw on just after the new year in a tree outside the window. I have never seen an owl but after the dream and then the sighting in the middle of the night it must mean something...?

It means that there are some owls live near the place you visited.
