I am wondering, can you dream about something that you've never experienced? Because it makes sense, your brain can't produce actions or events that you've never actually had....I mean some things are similar to what you've experienced, but not exactly, I think that is possible. But, can you feel something (like physcially) in a dream that you've never felt before in reality? Like, I have had the dream of falling off the a building, but I've never hit the ground, is this because I have never actually fallen and hit the ground, and/or died? But then I've had dreams about kissing someone whom I've never kissed, but I remember physically feeling it. Do I recognize the feeling because I've kissed someone, just not that person? I don't know.
So, is it possible to dream and feel things you've never experienced in real life? And if yes, how so? |

I know I've definetly experienced something in my sleep that I had never done in real life (I don't think there was anything I had ever experienced like it before then) . The brain is very creative.
senses you haven't experienced yet doesn't mean your brain isn't capable of making that experience. If that were the case then you wouldn't be able to experience that something at all. so if your brain wanted to then yes.

Most dreams are based on past experiences, however as Zim says the human mind is creative and can add, subtract or embelish past experiences. Another point is the nature of past experience. The subconscious takes into account what you felt, thought, dreamt, read about, or heard people relate to you. Most of ones past experiences are forgotten by the brain but the subconscious mind seems to have access to to them. Add to that the creative and inventive ability of the human mind and you get the unfathomable and sometimes very strange dreams! Cheers Wolfjk

You can be absolutely certain remote viewing does not work! However believing it does can cause a war! Perhaps this unfortunate person: looking for a ring would be better off using a metal detector! Cheers Wolfjk

I think that we can dream of our past lives, but I am not sure about the other stuff your asking. And this only applies if you believe in reincarnation, otherwise look elsewhere for a theory.
PS I'm not sure what you dreamed is past life experience, but you can certainly look into it. |

i totally believe dreaming can and does reflect our past. to an extent we cant dream what we dont know. so every dream is something we know. whether it be in our minds eye or right in front of us it has to be something we already have the knowledge of. we cannot make it up nor can our subconscious. it must have to be some experience we have been subjected to in some form or another...reading, movies, real life, all experiences.

Dreaming can and does reflect past and present experiences. We are the sum of all our experiences. We are the product of all our ancestors. DNA research has traced the roots of certain individuals born and living in the United States to people living in Africa and other parts of the earth. Perhaps we can account some of our "foreign" dream life to our predecessors of past generations. We carry in our unconscious infinite information that can be caused to surge upward into our conscious mind by some situation, person, place or picture on a wall that reminds us of something in our present moment or links to our "family" tree. This can happen without our conscious knowledge. Scents, aromas, voices...anything can awaken our unconscious mind and then we start dreaming and experiencing physical feelings, emotions, sensations and pleasures that we think that we've never known before. Anyway, that's my 2 pennies.
