Explain please

I had this freaky dream last nite. Firstly, let me say i have a boyfren whom i love very much and a friend named Jason whom i havent spoken to in a while bcuz my boyfriend doesnt really like him. Well in my dream, me an Jason got into an arguement and i ended up beatin Jason up...i mean i really hurt him. He was so furious that he wanted to kill me. I ended up stayin at an inn with my dad, aunt, sister and cousin. I was terrified that Jason woud come and kill me so i kept close to my family. On the other hand, they were plannin to make sure Jason killed me bcuz they felt as though i deserved that. In the night, I saw jason cumin with alot of his friends with grim looks on their faces. I decided to go outside bcus if I didnt, my family wud carry me to him. In order to live, i tried to seduce Jason. He did hit me acouple of times but nothing severe and we had sex . The weird thing was that i was pleased in my dream but all his friends were watching. He didnt kill me an we ended up dating. I cud feel the hate from his ex-girlfren who is also my sisters best friend when she spoke to me. An i dont remember my boyfriend being in the dream but i believe i told Jason that if i wanted to he would be killed from by boyfriend by me telling him that Jason raped me. Plzz explain this dream to me .

Whenever possible, I try to give a dream a literal or almost a literal interpretation. However, I believe that most dreams are not meant to be taken literally. So it is with this dream. Assuming that this dream does not reflect the relationship between you and others, a non-literal interpretation is reasonable.

Jason would be a symbol of your animus. The animus is an archetype. It is always male and is only found in the dreams of women. The animus has the potential of going through four stages of development – from the primitive man to the spiritual guide.

In this dream, you are arguing with your animus (Jason). We have problems with the animus (or any other archetype) when we don’t give it/him the attention he wants.

You stay at an inn with your dad, aunt, sister and cousin. They are also archetypes. But, you seem to have a better relationship with them than you do with your animus, Jason. Perhaps surprisingly, your family did not have any problem with Jason killing you. They felt that you deserved to die -- very strange. Why would they feel that way? The most likely answer is that they agree that you have not been good and fair to your animus.
