Default A Question For Everyone

Hi guys,

I started this thread to pose this question: How have dreams reflected and/or affected your life?
We're all on here because we believe that dreams have some sort of significance. Perhaps you believe that dreams help predict the future, warn one of disaster, reflect your psychological state, or is even another realm of existence all in itself.

I want to know about your experiences. Tell me one of the most profound memories you have of a dream clearly telling you a message or having some sort of deeper meaning. Did you have a nightmare when a family member was in trouble? Did you have a dream to warn you of future events? Did you have a dream that helped you solve problems in relationships with others?

I had dreams wich told me symbolic that som who i knew and had died, is having a hard time in the afterlife. I first thought it was my imagination so i ignored it but it kept goin, then i asumed that the person who died is tryin to tell me somthing and i firgured out what, then the dreams stopped. Then after som time i thought again that it was just my imagination, that same night they started to occur again for som nights till i accepted it and again they stopped. When today i start doubting, they occur again in my sleep.

Hi sleepybum,
As you're a student, I can give you some information on dreams. They control your entire sleep time and wake you in the morning. They also wake you when it is necessary to wake up in the middle of the night, and keep you asleep when you need the rest.
Dreams don't predict the future, don't warn of disasters, however sometimes they reflect your psychological state. They use your entire memory bank, if you may find that you dreamt about something that came to pass, sure you thought about it before the dream.
Think of dreams as your guardian angel.
Cheers Wolfjk

Hi,

I want to tell you a reason to know that 5 senses can't understand anything except by the soul,
Have you dreamt you were eating and drinking and had pleasure of that. He said yes. I said: have you dreamt laughing and crying, and strolling in the cities that haven't seen yet but you know the specialties. He said: yes dreamt very much. I said: Have you ever dreamt about your dead brother or father and know them like they are alive.
He said: yes too many times. I said: tell me which sense has received such things to see the dead and talking to them or crying and laughing. He said: I can’t say which one. Because the body is slept like a dead. I said: tell me when you wake up don’t you remember and report to the friends exactly, He said; yes and sometimes I see that before night in real life. I said; which sense keeps it to remember the dream after waking. He said; there is no way for sense. I said then you should know because senses are vein here that is the soul that God has put wisdom in it and it is a reason. He said; what I dream is like mirage one thinks it is water but when arrive at there is nothing. I said; how do you say it is like mirage and you ate sweets and pickles and were happy and sad he said; because what I dream when I arrive at it is nothing. I said: have you ever had sex in the dream and your hearts beat, have you ever had wet dream about a woman or man. You know him or don’t know He said many times said had you orgasm and when you woke up you were wet then this is not mirage.
He said: dreaming orgasm is just like the real life .I said this is my reason that soul. Knows everything although senses are dead and can’t see or hear of course you shouldn’t deny that soul in addition of the senses knowledge recognition in the waking life and after vanishing the senses has sex with them then it recognizes the things after going senses and now you understand that the itself is guiding the senses and is their governor and none of the senses can’t do anything without soul; if the soul goes a head body wasn’t get back and if soul gets back the body won’t go ahead with the soul the happiness comes and with it the ache is received if a sense is damaged the soul is remained but if the soul is damaged senses can work properly.

So I am going to share a life story that only selective people know about me and it took me almost all my life to figure it out.....
When I was 10 years old I got very ill almost cost me my life I was hospitalized for a year .In the year of that process that I was healing my body I knew I would be a diffrent person. Who at age 10 thinks that way.
Well in the last day in my stay in the hospital the last converstation I had with was my father I knew for some odd reason that I would never see him again. I knew something was not right. I begged him to stay with me in the hospital he had promised me that he would pick me up first thing in the morning I went to sleep feeling worried. I had one of does nightmares that felt so real. I remember dosing off watching that show :"The All American Hero" (yes I still remember that show) figure out the math.
Well as I was falling asleep I saw a man pointing a gun at me aiming for my heart and behind me was my father. I was attempting to block the bullet from going threw my father or, me but I couldn't do it. The bullet went straight to my heart and threw my fathers heart and I felt blood coming from my mouth. I was choking on my own blood and I woke up at 2:30am choking and crying that night telling the nurses my father was dead. The Nurses couldnt understand what happend so, the next morning I had gotten the news that my father had passed away but I wasnt tolded the truth until I was 16 years old I had found a old news paper with a picture of my father in the floor and the article stated it was foul play for 6 years I beileve that he did die of a heart a attack and in reality what I had dream was true.
There doesnt come a time where if i sleep early or late I either wake up at exactly 2:00am or I go to sleep at 2:30am.
Maybe this will help you shed some light and helping on the dream research you are looking for because that what your looking for right?

When I was a young teenager, I had a dream about being in a particular job, something that I would never have considered in a million years. It wasn't an overly joyful dream, just a feeling of deep satisfaction, and knowing that I was where I was supposed to be. The dream was so vivid that I completely changed my entire outlook on life and my future, changed all the subjects I was taking in school to fit around it, and went down that path, and it was, undoubtedly, the best decision I ever made. I could never have known, not ever, just how good a decision it would have been, I just went with it because of the feeling in my dream being so intensely unforgettable, even though it was the last thing in the world I would have wanted to do. But thanks to a dream I had as a child, I found my vocation as an adult.

I had some past mysterious dreams that I still do not know the meaning. As a child, I had lots of dreams where I see myself as a grown up, of rather different professions, and getting married to a stranger. In those cases, I was still able to ask what was happening, and I appeared so clueless (well, I am clueless). Everyone acts like "are you joking, sure you know the answers to your questions." and those remain a mystery up to now. I'm too young anyway to hurry knowing the meaning of those dreams. But everything happening looks so smooth, splendid.

Anyway, here are some short term ones. I usually dream of stuff that symbolically telling me I'm about to fail in what I do, or that I'm going to be successful. Sometimes, I dream that I indeed am going to receive some great news regarding a project, and the the following night, another dream that says that I'm going to fail (symbolically again). I don't know if it makes sense but in immediate changes like that, I suddenly change my habits and start being workaholic, or change the concept, thinking that my dream perhaps tells me that if I continue to do what I do at that point in my life, this is what's most probably going to happen.

Maybe your hoping that you fail so you won't become a 'work-a-holic'

Sometimes I do,though very seldom. But I actually have longer and more sensible dreams when I'm not working, when I'm not thinking of anything (I think it's supposed to be that way). Basically, it changes, or makes me change my current attitude towards something.

Hello Sleepybum,

I have been a lucid dreamer for quite some time. I think there are many different levels to dreaming. Some are events and input from the day which tend to be nonsensical, some are emotional issues to be dealt with, and lucid dreams enable your light body to travel outside the physical body. You can use this state for spiritual practice, the Tibetans call it sleep yoga.

I've been through quite lot in my sleep and have overcome a lot of fears. I have been through both blissful experiences and some that are terrifying. Not surprisingly, the blissful did not come until I have worked through the hard stuff. Work with your dreams as it is well worth the effort.

Dreaming can be an amazing experience and one that can be worked at constantly.

I have no experience of prophetic dreaming.

idgy
