| General Chit-Chat Kind of like a lounge, just come in and talk about anything at all. Relax, this is like the water cooler at the office. |

Hi, i was wondering if anyone had any ideas about this. My friend, who is an adult male, shouts in his sleep, he says he has always done this but doesnt know why. He said he doesnt feel afraid of anything and doesnt rememeber any dreams that may have made him shout. Its not screaming, its shouting of words.
Any ideas?? |

Many dreams are dreamt for entertainment. It is like watching a football game. you get excited by watching and shout encouragement or boo's. In dreams like this, the dreamer may also kick invoulantirily or make other movements. In dreams generally the sleeper simulates or actually makes the movements the dream suggests. The actual physical movement depends on how near the sleeper is to the waking level of consciousness. As resinlove says you can sometimes change the dream by tolking to the sleeper or touching him.
