I dont think alot of people really ask themsleves that question enough. I think so many people and organizations are to focus on who is right and who's going to wrong. Or which religion is better than the other one.
I was raised catholic even though I was raised catholic I still had the option to explore my options and I found out in my 33 years of life I am sorry to say that no organization has fullfilled that accomplishment and then one day I realized God did not die for one simple organization. He did for every single one of us and we're not even close to doing what he has done for us. The most amazing thing the God did is to sacrifice his life for us and that wouldn't even compare I don't believe we can even top that.
I get sadden of the fact that we don't fight for eachother and for this world to make it better and, we're not willing to do anything for our lord and when the time comes (which it will regarless of what people think!) religion or not believers or non believers ......Religion won't count organizations won't count only you will be the one that's going to be judge.
So when it comes to getting information about outside source think about this are you sure its outside sources. How confident is your faith and your belief? I believe we are smart enough to put 2 and 2 together other things do exist beside God all we have to ask is God for guidance and your answer will unrable.

Hawk, you should go and study religion! Gods come and go with fashion. Count the Gods the Ancient Civilisations had! The Greeks, the Romans, the Aztecs, the Incas, the Hindus and other civilisations.
Count the Gods the modern civilisations have at present! There is the Judeo-Chritian God, There is the Muslem God, there are the various hindu deities, There are the various Ancestry worshippers and there are the Money worshippers.

Religion is an Idea It has a certain energy value for those who practice it. However it has more energy for people of low intelligence and for people who are easily influenced.

To get us back on topic, I consider myself a Christian, although, given the vastly different views a lot of Christians seem to have on seemly basic topics, I'm not sure that really means much.

I consider myself open to other religious ideas and the possibility that there is not just one truth.

I believe in a higher power, and I believe there is only one. I do not believe the entire Bible is true verbatum. There are many parts of the Christian religion that were somewhat modified throughout history to convert paegans to the 'one true religion'.

The trinity is a good example, included in the Greek translations of the Bible (and later wholly incorporated) to convert paegans that at that period in history favored Gods by the threes.

Or the verses in that refer to the treatment of dreams, which say that we should not consult or attend our dreams; an incorrect translation from the original by a worldy book-loving man who had a religously awakening dream and spent years as a hermit studying the Bible exclusively. It is believed he changed the word (which would be easily recognizable as the word witchcraft) to dreams to spare others his own mistakes.

The Bible was written by MEN, inspired perhaps but still men and therefore fallable...perhaps this is why we were gifted with free will and the ability to reason. We are perhaps meant each to find our own way. I know as a parent myself I would be well pleased if a child of mine found the right path reguardless of how he came to it, ESPECIALLY if I didn't give him a lick of information directly.

I believe for certain that reguardless of the controversy reguarding the minute' we are meant to find ways to live together and accept each other as we are....it's all about the love. Finding ways to help each other, understand the universe we are in, cramming one's beliefs down other ppl's throats has never been a good model for conversion.
