Ex girlfriend issues...

I've been with my boyfriend for almost 5 months now and he still talks to his ex. They were together for a little over 2 years and broke up almost a year ago. He has told me several times that they were really close with eachothers families and want to remain friends. For some reason, I have a HUGE problem with this. He told me he would tell her that they couldn't talk anymore. This was about a month ago. But she still text messages him about random stuff. He doesn't keep it from me. He tells me when they talk. But he knows I have a huge problem with him talking to her. She is the definition of a psycho and is probably only contacting him just to get under my skin and cause problems between the 2 of us. Am I just being crazy?
