Ok so ye I've had a lot of trouble with my dreams recently and they make me think I'm going insane (thats why I joined this site) but I thought while I'm here I should ask a question that I wanted to know for a while: If two people are asleep at the same time can some form of telepathy mean they can meet in their dreams cuz it was on TV or in a book or summot once, also can ur soul (also on TV or in a book or summot) leave ur body while u sleep??? I know it's random and probably sounds stupid as **** but I just wanna know how much fact there is behind this kind of myth!

Dont take your dreams seriously. Dreams do their work while you are dreaming them! Most dreams are dreamt to wake you up for one reason or other, others are dreamt to entertain you, yet others are dreamt to divert you from what you're thinking of in your sleep. Quote:
However dreams can be very strange and sometimes they feel real. Even an experienced dreamer like me, sometimes wonders whether it was a dream or it really happened! Cheers Wolfjk

this is interesting! maybe your subconscious mind is thinking about this type of telepathic connection (like you read it in a book or saw it on t.v.), which in turn makes you think you are actually touching someone's consciousness. everyone's mind can make up some pretty weird things. An idea in one's head can be twisted and changed to fit an idea in one's subconscious. For ex: I had a dream of a talking rosebush from the future. I didn't even have the idea for this the night or day before, but it was there somehow.
P.S. a dream is only a continuation of something you brain thought of during the day. kind of like its getting something off it's shoulders.

Ive had dreams that someone else close to me has also had the same dream, but i think that probably because we have went to bed with the same things going on in our heads. The dreaming of it is to sort the situation out..

There is a feature termed out-of-body experience where some aspect of one's self can separate, during sleep, from the body and travel at will and many people report having had such experiences. There are also others who seem to be in tune with the thoughts of those around them, sometimes without those picking up the thoughts being aware of this feature in themselves, when obviously some kind of dream connection may exist but I am speaking, like yourself, only from what I have read.

The "out of body experiences are the trick of the subconscious mind! Once your soul leaves the body, it is "Godby" as Anne Robinson would say! However the subconscious mind uses the idea in special circumstances, especially when the dreamer suffers a bad injury, or is unable to move to calm and heal the sleeper. If you watched the News recently, the out of body experience can be reproduced artificially! Cheers Wolfjk

I would love to have seen that news item; it will probably be somewhere on the Net. Thanks for drawing it to attention.
