Dreams into Movies/Books or Short Stories

I tend to always remember my dreams, the ones that stick with me the most I write into short stories. Even though I may find them interesting and movie like, How far can I really take it besides posting it in my personal blog?
I'm a dreamer but not much of a writer.
Do any of you write out your dreams or keep a journal of the ones that you can't seem to forget?

yes, I write my dreams in a journal and in around 15 years they are nearly 4390 .
The reason why is that dreams usually happen after a few days or a few months or even I had dreams that took place in 7 years each year part of that.

I dream but seldom recall them. I have made attempts to keep a journal but cannot see the point of doing so. As I am able to interpret dreams, especially my own, the exercise seems meaningless. Unlike yourself, I am a writer but I am not driven by amition so I guess I am not a dreamer.

I tend to have vivid dreams and I write them down. Not all of them, just the really good ones that have lots of details. I had a dream years ago that I decided not to include here because I would love to write a book about it. But I am not much of a writer either so I doubt that will ever happen, but I have the idea just incase I get around to it.

I wanted to do the same myself. I started to write some of it and I have a few pages together.
When I actually dreampt the one I'm writing about, it was like watching a movie in GREAT detail. I wasn't in it, just seeing it.
I hope you get the chance to make something of it.
