Hi everyone!
I'm just wondering if anyone has the idea if animals do dream too? I had a black cat which is so very close to me. Actually she is always with me even in bed. One night while we we're sleeping as I has shocked because suddenly she is shaking and trembling. I was so afraid I don't know what to do. She looks like she is epileptic but I know she's not. Her whole body is trembling for i think 1 minute until she fall out of bed. When she fall I grab her but she is still asleep. I wake her up but it took I think almost 2 minutes until she woke up. After a week that incident happened again. It happened for about 6 times now. Any idea? Thanks. |

Those who observe animal behaviour recognise that animals do dreams but how you describe what was happening to you cat, it seems to be something physical which may require the advice of a Vet.

Hi,
I wanted to let you know that we have dogs and they dream about every night. Sometimes they even growl and bark. It is interesting to watch. I have no idea of what they are thinking, but I am positive they are dreaming. |

As Jennings stated....it would be a good idea to get her to a vet. Although I believe animals dream (they have their experiences in life and have cognitive skills), I am just afraid your cat may be experiencing seizures. Cats generally sleep lightly because they sleep a lot throughout the day. Cats generally wake up easily and I would imagine your cat would wake up quickly if you had to catch her falling out of bed. Her slow recovery time also suggests that this could be neurological or organic in nature. Please take Jennings advice and get a full vet work up on her. May you and your kitty be well. |

If you observe your dogs closely in daytime, especially when you take them for a walk, you might be able to tell what they are dreaming about. It is interesting to watch their REM periods! The rapid eye movements often give an indication whatthe dog is dreaming about. The eyes often follow a wasp or a fly. A chase is often fetured in a dogs dream, with yaps. If you observe how your dog looks at a wasp or a spider, the movement off the moth of dogs lower jaw can often be observed in a dogs dream. Very interesting! Cheers Wolfjk

I was also wondering about this..
I recently had a puppy and I was really amused when I saw him sleeping and his legs were like running or something.. It gave me a laugh because it was so cute and I was also thinking maybe he was dreaming he could already walk! ![]() |

My dog dreams quite often about going for a roam(on his own) you see this excited look on his face and his paws sort of flutter back and fourth a little, its quite funny
