I know that my old dog Drifter used to dream all the time, almost everytime he napped or slept if you watched him, his paws would be twitching and he would make little muffled barks and growls or just curious excited noises, tohugh I cant be sure I would sayy 100% that he was dreaming...it was really cute!

Default Even Rabbits Dream

A couple weeks back my Rabbit which I keep in my kitchen was laying on his side and moving his legs as if running and hopping. He did this for about 3 minutes tops. Then he woke up and fell back asleep.

WAIT!

What does R.E.M mean?

Isn't that the alternative band from the 80's?

R.E.M. is Rapid Eye Movement.. It is identified when the eyes move rapidly when someone is asleep. This is when most dreams occur.

Hope I could help.

I think all animals dream, even sharks, and I say that as an example because they always appear to be conscious. Their brains are able to run on autopilot while another part of their brain rests, that way they never miss an opportunity to eat.

My dogs always dream, their paws usually start twitching and their eyelids flutter, sometimes they growl or make a muffled barking noise ..... like their chasing something, its quite comical

I believe that they do dream. I had a dog who used to lie on his side in front of the fireplace. The right side of his mouth (lip flap) was curled under and stuck to the top of the teeth. He looked comical. As he paddled, and twitched, he would make a muffled "MRwufff" sound. The bottoms of his feet always smelled like frito corn chips. (He slept in my bed, and had no manners)

Yes..animal dreams..similar to human beings you can also see eyes moving during their sleep. It means they too dream.

If you take a buckeye and place it under a dog's head at night and the next night you place it under your own bed, you will dream the same dream.
