Cool rejection

My first husband left me for a blond ten years younger than me, more than forty years ago. I remarried after three years to a wonderful man who means the world to me. And yet, time after time, I dream that my first husband approaches me to come back to me and our children. However, I don't trust him and before the dream is over, he has returned to the other woman and rejected me once again. Who can enlighten me as to what I am trying to tell myself thru my dreams?

His rejection of you has deeply emotionally wounded you and so much so that the vibrations of the impact still hurt today. It is almost as if your dignity has been profoundly hurt (or alternatively that you harbour a conscience of hurting his) and your are constantly re-enacting this drama in your life searching for its happy ending. It also tends to show residues of affection which you may still harbour about him. You might find that if you admit to your inner feelings without either disappointment or anger intervening, just accept those feelings that still persist that the dreams may fade and disappear on the loss of the strength of the feeling behind them vaporising.

Hi GMa Mary,
Your subconscious is using your old experience of rejection to wake you up in the morning. Don't take the dreams too seriously, rather put a positive slant to them. The dreams are a a useful waking device in the morning! Your subconscious does not have to use much mental energy to create awaking dream as the old dream always works.
Treat your dreams simply as a waking up dream. I guess they happen near morning, however don't be put off if they happaen early in the night, as at our age we need to wake more often than when we were young.
Cheers Wolfjk
