Talking Questions regarding a Dreamworld

I am currently researching for facts based upon dreams. its a story that relates to a fictional world where a world name Dreamworld exists under an owner named Sandman.

I discovered this site through dream tree.. most of the threads here are very interesting to read. and so here i am

If there is a person name Sandman, what are the myths that made the Sandman responsible for making such dreams? (fantasy facts for science fiction novel) And if there is other names for sandman (dream master is the other one i made up), please specify it in this thread for me. thanks for all your help! (happy crazy smile!)

oh by the way, its a young adults kind of novel. that means that i make the fictional ideas easy to read for children.

Default About my novel

this kind of story has been bugging me for years. and now that i made myself a deadline to create a story that can a few chapters ( i dont need to complete it all at once )

a few dreams i have has the same unusual element on that scenario. (real dream) there is a person / something that shapes like a person doesnt belong to my dream. I fear this person where 'it' either gives good dream or a nightmare. because of that there 'might' be a possibility to have a person related the creations of dreams.

but i still believe there is god that lead me on dreaming this such events for a reason though

You do realise that the theme of your story is verging on plagarism; have a look at this Web page:

The Sandman (DC Comics Modern Age - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia).

Read this too from the same site:

"Traditionally he is a character in many children's stories, invoked to help (or lull) children to sleep. He is said to sprinkle sand or dust on or into the eyes of the child at night to bring on dreams and sleep. The grit or 'sleep' (rheum) in one's eyes upon waking is supposed to be the result of the Sandman's work the previous evening.
Ole-Lukøie, one of Hans Christian Andersen's more obscure folk tales, told of the different dreams the Sandman gave to a young boy in a week.

"E.T.A. Hoffmann wrote an inverse depiction of the lovable character in a story called Der Sandmann, which showed how sinister such a character could be made. According to the protagonist's nurse, he threw sand in the eyes of children who wouldn't sleep, with the result of those eyes falling out and being collected by the Sandman, who then takes the eyes to his iron nest on the moon, and uses them to feed his children. The protagonist of the story grows to associate this nightmarish creature with the genuinely sinister figure of his father's associate Coppelius".

Your dream could be warning you about the implications of plagarism. Possibly you are partially aware of this copying feature which shapes like a person in your dream which is probably your subconscious awareness. Be careful.

Dreams do not arise from some fictional character called 'God' but from your own inner desires, wishes, and fears.
