Hi!
I was wondering if dreaming in color is significant or has any symbolism? Sometimes I dream in color and sometimes certain colors stand out at me in dreams, while everything else I assume is black and white. Just curious what people think. Cheers |

I would not like to go into the scientific stuff, but colours and light are the fundamental energy sources for dreams. Think of driving through green fields and there is a patch of red poppys, you are immediatly drawn to it. Go into a room with a picture in it: your eye automaticly focuses on it! You always notice a flash of life. Light and colour is what dreams are made of. Cheers Wolfjk

Colour in dream can be significant but for it to be so it would require to hold one's attention or be notable in an expressive way. The dream's theme would denote the meaning of the colour as it does with the content.

For me, color dreams come true while black & white ones are for entertainment only. If a dream is b&w with certain parts in color, it will happen but in a different way than I dreamed. For instance, I dreamed my roomie's death from a fall in '02. The entire dream was in color except for the b&w garden hose she tripped over when she fell at the top of the stairs. In RL she tripped over an electrical cord. 11 days ago I dreamed in color that Obama was chosen as President over McCain. We'll see...
