Dream themes

Has anyone ever noticed that many of the dreams posted each week have similar themes? For instance....I have noticed that dreams of wood, forests and mouths seem to be appearing a lot over the past couple days. Am I just reading a portion of posts with these common symbols, are the posts influencing other people's dreams or is there a overall collective subconscious thing going on? Any thoughts?

Varzandeh....Thank you for responding. If this is the case...then shouldn't we be keeping track of the themes and common symbols in everyone's dreams each week...so we can receive the overall message(s) being given to us?

Hi Shirah, Its so funny I was thinking exactly the same thing!! There have been a lot of accidents lately as well in the themes. I think it definitely shows on some level that we are all connected. I think when we sleep mainly it is to work out our emotional baggage but I also believe that in this state we tap into the great sea of collective conciousness.
Thats why it would also be kinda nice for people to not only post their dreams but to have something to say as well in chit-chat forum.

The world is like a very big school or uni , everybody is granted the blessing to come and will have trials and will have the blessing of life to pass to the next step.We are forced to some scenes of the life and we have authority in the decision makings as to how we reply to each situation, the life and death is cretaed to see who has the best manner.
If everything was said by the dreams and specially its time was clear nobody would follow the morals and knowledge.There are 6236 verses and only 14 are about dreams.

Hi Shirah,
I have noticed a long time ago that some of the dreams and interpretations have an influence on the people who use this forum regularly. I don't think it has anything to do with the collective unconscious, however the subconscious mind of the individual dreamers picks up on the experience of reading the post to use it in the creation of a new dream.

Thank you all for sharing your thoughts on the matter. It interests me that each one of you had a different take on the matter. I believe each one of your perspectives...as well as....everyone else's perspective makes life so fascinating. I tend to lean towards a more spiritual opinion on the matter...while others may be more logically based. It is too bad we don't have a "response set" like test to determine if we are influenced by the posts we read and interpret online (only because I love research). Regardless of the matter...I appreciate each one of your opinions.

Wolf...I see you as one of the people on this forum who is a grounding force. I definately need to come down from the clouds sometimes ...so it is good that you will challenge me to see things differently.

Oh wait...Wolf...I just thought of something. If we are picking up subconsciously on what we read online about other people's dream which creates new dreams....wouldn't that be a different form of collective consciousness? Like...a logical....collective consciousness?

Hi Shirah, thanks for your comments in your post. My interpretations are based more on experience than science as I have very little of it. However there is a spiritual element as well - not a religious one - as I was put off religion at the age of 7!
Here are a few aspects of spirituality:
“man can’t live by bread alone”
I think life and dreams have a quantum element and need a certain amount of quantum energy to sustain it!
“Let there be light”
Light is the basic quantum energy needed to sustain life!
“In the beginning there was the word”
Ideas and concepts are the other source of quantum energy. They are interchangeable with light.
In dreams the quantum energy is used to raise or keep up the level of consciousness. As you probably know the laws of the universe dictate that in life we are constantly moving towards equilibrium – that is towards union with the inert material. We need a constant supply of quantum energy to cling to life.

Ah! The collective unconscious!!
Dreaming is like a computer program. The subconscious puts bytes of quantum energy into the dream to bring the brain into play so the brain can understand what it (the subconscious) wants it to do. Now the question is did the inventor of the collective unconscious understood computer language and quantum theory? Did he know that life must obey the Laws of Thermo Dynamics?

It is so funny that asking a questions about themes in dreams could lead me down a path of Thermo Dynamics and fire. I would not mind a spiritual refining fire...just not a literal one.
