Default Dreams and their connection in real life

Hi this is my dream from many years ago and the actual events that connected both.
I had several dreams about my daughter lying in my arms on the side of the road while we waited on an ambulance, throughout each dream I felt like she was dying and I was losing her.
What really happened:
My Daughter became an epileptic at age 9 and she took a major siezure in my arms, I sat on the floor in the living room while waiting for the ambulance. when the family was told of her medical problem an Aunt who I saw once a year called and said, "now you can stop worrying, that is what your dreams were telling you" Note: I never told anyone about my dreams or fears.

Hi Gypsy,
There is'nt a mother or father who does not worry about his or her children. The subconscious mind uses the worry simply to control the sleep of the dreamer. So when you dream of your child getting hurt it is not about your child or anything that may happen in the future but what is happening to you in the sleep the dream happens in. The subconscious mind uses the sleepers experience to move him/her from deep sleep to wakefulness.
The process of relating past dreams with events that come to pass is a common mistake many people make - especially those who want to impress others. Many of the things we dream are part of life and part of life experience, and many things happen by chance and co-incidence.
Cheers Wolfjk

I appreciate your input wolfjk however I believe that dreams can and do on occasion foretell or warn of incidents that may happen.
My reason for posting this dream was to hear from other people with similar happenings in their life.

Hi Gypsy,
Thanks for your post. I also belive that dreams may indicate future health problems, However the subconscious mind has a very strict moral code and it will predict only the dreamers personal problems. Dreams are concerned solely with the well-being of the sleeper. However dreams use the experience and connections with other people to create the dream.
I think it is wrong to draw any conclusions from one persons dream regarding someone else. Dreams only predict events that are already experienced, or planned by the sleeper. Perhaps the subconscious is able to access information before it is available to the conscious mind regardin health problems. That is my experience.
Cheers Wolfjk

Hello Gypsy55!
I respectfully disagree with Wolfjk and I too believe that dreams can on occassion predict certain events. I also believe that God communicates through dreams as well. I do not believe that every dream is prophetic nor is God directly speaking in every dream. I believe we are given a certain level of ability to sense, to see and to interpet all that is going on around us and that those clues may not be able to morph into tangible thought in our daily lives so the dreaming mind takes over and assembles all of the information while we are resting and can tell us what the future will bring.

So, the ability to understand and interpret dreams you have could easily hinge on how in-tune you are to your world and to your surroundings. I would vouch for my children being a real focal point, as I am certain yours are and I am most in-tune to their total being! It is like becoming one with nature and the rest of the universe when given a dream that predicts the future.

I do also believe that dreams are the process of our daily living and the daily events that happen. ..sometimes to the mundane and really boring stuff but we can also get clues for our daily living. We may not realize why we have some nagging feeling in a dream when we see some mundane symbol. But, if you interpret that symbol then you begin to understand your own mind and you might even be surprised by what you find. You may find you have the ability to overcome fears or frustrations that were holding you back and just nagging at you from your subconcious side-lines.

Your experience was interesting! Thank you for sharing.

I would like to thank both wolfjk and katydid for their take on the thread. I have had many similar dreams throughout my life as well as My sister-in-law who once had a dream where a car had crashed on her front lawn, the afternoon of the following day a car did in fact crash on her front lawn, and to get there it had to go over a ditch, up a hill and through a very large hedge.
How could she have known about that through her daily life??

I have noticed two types of dreams in me:

1) The more vivid the dream is, the more it relates to facts in my life that are happening or that will happen (prophetic).

2) The less vivid the dream is, the more it relates to my inner feelings and emotions.

These two types of dreams are intertwined, as facts of your life influence your feelings and emotions and vice versa.
