Does anyone out there know anyone that has been blind from birth? I have always wondered a couple of things really.
In their mind, do they see with their inner eye? If so, what can they see? Also, when they dream, do they see things in their dreams in the same way that a person with sight would see? For example, would a bus be a bus? Any comments?

Idgy, I have previously heard those who are blind speak about their dreams as it is one of those features that fascinate many but regretfully I cannot now recall what they said. Other senses in the blind, we are informed, become more astute so a reasonable guess would be that those senses would dominate their dream world. There was a girl in Glasgow who had been blind since infancy (but not birth) and when around the age of 14 she regained her sight but only for a year when she again lost it. During the year on which she could see what impacted on her mostly was the size of people's noses! Like myself, you will probably always remember this fascinating bit of information.
