Hello i have a question

Hi i am new and i hope i am posting this in the right place.
The question i have is what does it mean if when dreaming, i am on the outside watching, a bit like watching a scene from a play yet i am able to feel what the person i am seeing is feeling, sometimes what i see and feel is bad it hurts but i am unable to stop whats happening even though i want to.
I am sorry if this sounds confusing.

Like resin8love, I too have been both in dreams. At times, I'm like a spectator, and other times every part of it.

Until this website, I didn't know I wasn't the only one, so there isn't much I can explain as I'm learning myself why I've been like this since birth.

Jennings i did have a read through the thread you have suggested and found it very insightful so thank you.
I still have a problem though in understanding why it is i take on the feelings etc of the person i am watching and sometimes i find that i wake up feeling quite disturbed and these sort of dreams are the ones i seldom forget. I class them as nightmares due to how they make me fee,l as taking on feelings of another person being hurt is not very nice especially as in the dream i am unable to stop what is happening even though i try, its as if i am invisible to those i am watching.

He said: dreaming orgasm is just like the real life .I said this is my reason that soul Knows everything although senses are dead and can’t see or hear of course you shouldn’t deny that soul in addition of the senses knowledge recognition in the waking life after vanishing the senses has sex with them then it recognizes the things after going senses and now you understand that the soul itself is guiding the senses and is their governor and none of the senses can’t do anything without soul; if the soul goes ahead body wasn’t get back and if soul gets back the body won’t go ahead with the soul the happiness comes and with it the ache is received if a sense is damaged the soul is remained but if the soul is damaged senses can work properly.

I am guessing here but I would suggest that each character in your dream may represent different aspects of yourself that are in conflict and possibly hence why you are the observer and take onboard the collective feelings. The feelings experienced will also represent the alternative feeling like if you fear violence then violence and the anger behind it will manifest in the dream. Those feelings will be genuine; they are real feelings that you are experiencing so hence the reason for the fall-out from the dream after you awaken

You are feeling empathy. If everything is connected, a bit like a large tapestry, then seems quite natural that you would feel what other people are going through in your dreams. Some people are also very sensitive to others pain in waking life. They are called empaths. They physically feel another person or animals pain.

If everything is one, then the saying,
