terrifying dream in a school (really long sorry)

Its been a while since i had this dream but it was in a school. My mom was there and some of my family including my 2 kids. We were all being held hostage it seemed in this school. My cousin was standing there like nothing was wrong, doing addition with a calculator? Crazy I know. But this huge scary man with a gun was there. Everyone was so scared. And I was too, but I dreamed that my 6 yr old son was about to have an asthma attack and his medication was in another room but the man wouldnt let anyone out. And I walked right up to him and ask him if I could go get the medication and he followed me and both my boys into the room to get it. Everyone was shocked that I even asked. I remember feeling scared but yet so determined to get the medicine that I didnt care.While in the room, the man closed the door. He said "You all go to the third grade classroom you will be safe there." It was so weird and made no sense at all. Both my chidren are boys and in my dream they were wearing cowboy boots,but my youngest was wearing PINK cowboy boots. Then I ran out telling everyone "go to the 3rd grade class Go Go) But we couldnt find it and there was an elevator. I was smoking a cigarette and my mom grabbed it and threw it in the elevator still lit, saying "we'll just burn this place down and get out" SORRY so long it made so many twist and turns! I thought I better not leave out anything that miight be important. What could this mean?

What could this mean

Dreams are about what is happening to you in the sleep the dreams happen in. Perhaps in your sleep you were worried about your sons asthma attacks and if the school could look after him properly. It almost sounds as if you have been in combat with medics possibly at a clinic or hospital regarding your son's medication and won the battle with the backing of your mother.
