Hello, as far back as i can remember ive had this repeating dream since i was 5 or 6 years old, here it goes. I fall asleep and when i hit my rem cycle im dreaming that im under water, im in the middle of a dark strip of water and above and below me are lighter water, i start swimming up and i cant get out of the water so i swim in the other direction and still cant get out, i usually wake up with the taste of lake water in my mouth and in my nose and feeling like ive been holding my breath for a long time... can someone help me with this?
Thanks Justin |

I think you should check on what you ate before these dreams happen. Some foods cause the acid reaction, but nervous tension and excitement before an important event can also trigger it off. Turning onto your back in sleep can also cause this sort of dream. Your dream wakes you up with the suggestion of drowning, because you need to wake up very quickly. I hope this helps. Cheers Wolfjk

The content of your dream makes me think that since starting those dreams that you have felt, in some way, different to others in your social grouping; you may even be someone who feels comfortable being by themselves rather than in company. The feeling of being withdrawn or reserved comes across.
