black wedding gown

Hello,

I would like a suggestion on what a dream I had might mean (if anything).
I got off work early today, came home and took a mid-day nap. During this
nap I dreamt that I was getting married. I was wearing a black wedding
gown and was waiting, with my mother, for my husband to arrive. People like my sister, father, and brother, would come and go but I just kept waiting. While I was waiting I took a look at myself in the mirror and noticed that I had
on a black gown. I knew that something was wrong with the way I was dressed but for some reason couldn't put my finger on it. When I woke up and remembered my dream it was so a bit scarey to remember me in a black wedding gown.
I have been married for 12 years, and have three children. I would appreciate anybodies insight on this wierd dream!!

It sounds (superficially) as if strife is prevailing in your marriage and it is causing you to fear that you marriage might be coming to an end. There seems to be some insecurity surrounding it.

Many people have dreams with the colour black and i dont really know why?
But i think you could in the future be sorrowful or scared of the relationship your in now.

You need to be strong and tell your partner about your dream it could affect him as well i've done a little research about this black wedding gown.

The colour blck represents: power, elegance, formality, death, evil, and mystery.
You could have either one on your path of destiny

So im not to sure the wedding might also be some sort of death becuase your family are coming and going.

But im sure your life would be fine.

I once dreamed that I was shopping for black shirts, that the salesgirls had them on and that I was the only one shopping, and I found one. But my desire for them was strong.

I feel like this was indicative of some lies I was believing or about to believe... the desire to purify oneself can be so strong that sometimes we trust solutions that are actually destructive to our self-image. Like trying to prove to yourself you're doing right, by starting to follow a stringent set of rules, etc.

I don't know what this represents for you. But if you feel like it, take a look at your most recent insecurities, and see if they aren't leading you into a faithless and or hopeless view of yourself -- or your mother (who was so close to you in this dream, she may be an object of your doubt, and not you.)

Wearing a black dress would be very non-conventional... maybe you are feeling like you don't want to conform or do something traditionally, perhaps something your husband wants you to do? The people coming and going could represent what the people in your life would think.
