General Chit-Chat Kind of like a lounge, just come in and talk about anything at all. Relax, this is like the water cooler at the office.

Some kind of spirit in House?

I will let the spirit be unless it turns angry and disrupts things. I agree to ask that he/she leave you a sign.

Check this out: The Pennsylvania State University Paranormal Research Society

I saw them do evps. But be careful b/c you can open the door to the other side.

i recently bought an old building and the locals in the area, being familiar with it have asked "have you seen the ghost yet?" OOOOH... well, I haven't seen anything but we certainly have heard and felt a presence which is a whole other post but...

Are your pets noticing this presence???

The first day we were officially living in the building and the cat was brought here she was cool mostly but was acting out in the hallway... I caught her hissing at nothing in the middle of the hall... she doesn't hiss, ever so this caught my attention... after the third time in the same day, in the same place I thought "ok" and walked around the building introducing myself... I spoke and explained what we were doing here, what we were doing to make the building better, fixing it up and asked that we all get along and that we "pretend" the cat owns the place and would like the presence to do the same...

less than an hour later I passed through the hall to find the cat where she was previously hissing.. only this time she was on her back rolling around and wiggling all happy like she was being pet.

she has been cool ever since other than the occasional meowing episode in a dank hallway on the first floor... in the past month she was meowing in that hall every night... last week I sage smudged down there and had a little chat... she has not meowed randomly down there since.

how are your pets acting??

The similarities of experience between the different posters is interesting. To add a anecdotal tale to what Gypsy said about scents and smells; just prior to my late wife's passing 10 years ago we (the family) had an interesting experience over a fish supper meal with my late wife which caused considerable laughter at the manner in which she reacted to it.

Shortly after her passing I was visiting one of my daughters and intended to visit another daughter on my way home who lived 8 miles from this daughter. On departing my daughter asked if I would take an item to her which was in a shopping plastic bag.

While journeying in the car on the motorway there was an almost over-powering smell of a fish supper meal that made me wonder why one daughter should be sending the other a fish supper! On arrival at the other daughter's house I handed her the plastic bag saying that her sister had sent along this fish supper. I then ensconced myself on an easy chair in the corner of the lounge well away from the kitchen but could still smell the fish supper. I called to my daughter who was then in the kitchen remarking on how strong it smelt. She arose from the kitchen and asked what made me think that it was a fish supper in the plastic bag. I said it was the smell but my daughter explained that the bag did not contain a fish supper! I do believe that my late wife was communicating with us in a manner which we could recognise and confirming for us that there did exist a spiritual aspect to life.
