Post I like nightmares

Yo,
Well you see, my older sis showed me all the 'Scream', 'It', and 'Freddy Kruger'(sp?) movies before I was even in pre-k. So now when I see a new horror movie I am usually not scared for more then a day, plus the fact lots of bad things have happened in my family so that contributed. I'm not that scared at haunted houses ether. Now the only thing that really scares me is my nightmares. So, I like having nightmares sometimes. They are...interesting. I asked one of my teachers about nightmares and she said that she never has nightmares because she prays for the Lord to protect her while she sleeps. She says that nightmares are sent by the Devil. Honestly I don't believe that.

Well my point is (sorry i dragged it out so long), is there anyway to make sure you have nightmares? I now write them in a book and I'm going to make a story about them. I like the thril of nightmares.

So does anybody have any tips to make sure i have a nightmare?

if you're not scared, it's not a nightmare.
i often have dreams about things that are traditionally scary (eg. being tortured and dying horribly), but i don't bat an eyelid. but then i'll dream about something totally mundane, like a scary letter from the council, and wake up screaming and run to the Job Centre to make sure i haven't really had my JSA cut off.

If you really want to have a nightmares, I suggest watch a scary movie or try to listen to some eeire sounds/music before you go to sleep.

If you want to have nightmares, visit the dying people in a hospital.

usually when I sleep, I sleep with the radio on. I hate the other sound outside my room. I like to know what I'm hearing. My room is also the coldest room in the house (besides the basement) so I always wonder why. it doesn't but me to much though. Its possible that I may be blocking my vents.

I am usually scared. Recently I had a nightmare I asked God for one and He gave one to me (I am Catholic). That one I actually woke up from, and I don't normally do that. I woke up around 3:45A.M. somewhere around there I think. All I remember is that is was 3 something and I woke up terrifed. I think I woke up because one of my blankets was on my neck and it was kind of making it hard to beathe.

I don't know people in any of the hospitals around here. or anywhere for that matter. My nightmares usually involve girls younger then me. Like little kids.

Default You worry me

Mr/s Insanity
You worry me. Why you would actually want to experience this stuff is beyond me. You should be more discerning about what you put into your mind. These horror movies will affect your consciousness in a bad way. Much more than you realise. And remember that your mind and your thoughts have a very powerful influence over your body. I worry for your future health.

My question to you is why do you love the fear and the pain so much? Rather than encourage more pain and nightmares, why don’t you try to sort out the painful stuff that has happened within your family? I think your time would be much better spent bringing some closure and some peace into your life than encouraging more pain and fear.

Default Nightmares

Hi,
Dreams, including nightmares are the responses to what is happening in your sleep. A dream serves a need that arises in your sleep. Sometimes it is to wake you, sometimes it is to move you and change your sleeping position, dreams also entertain, divert you from some irritations or pain. A nightmare is dreamt when it is necessary for you to wake up to deal with the problem!

This is a perfect example: your nightmare woke you because your bedclothes were choking you!
Dreams are created by your own subconscious to keep you alive while you sleep. They are based on your life experience and creative abilty. They control your sleep and wake you up in the morning. Dreams are part of life.
Your subconscious uses all your experiences to create your dreams. So watching scary horror films is regarded as useful dream material that makes it easier for your subconscious to create a scary nightmare that wakes you. As long as you don't mistake them for real!
Cheers Wolfjk

See: Adrenaline junkie - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. I subscribe to the sentiments of your father about you; if I were him I sure would be worried.
