Dream of mom
My dream was of my mother coming into my backyard while I was on the porch watching my dog. She looked young , like when I was a child, and her hair was her original colour. She wore a turquoise pant and jacket with a white shirt. She knelt to pet the dog and I said "mama?" to which she turned her head and looked at me with a puzzled expression and replied "what?" and I said "mom?", and went out to hug her and she rolled to her side on the grass becoming one with the ground and appeared to become a bit older. Just before she disapeared I was able to kiss her cheek and I felt her skin on my lips and breathed the scent of her. I then began to sob in my sleep which woke me.
I will add I lost my mother 2 years ago suddenly from complications post surgery. She never like the word "mama" for herself, but having been in the south so long I have referred to her as my "mama" since her death, hence her puzzled look. I'd like to think she visited me as there was no time to say goodbye at her passing. Does anyone have some other thoughts, or similar type dream?
