Default SWAT Team, K-9 Unit, Gas Station, School and co-workeers?????

I had a dream that I was with my mother to go and fill up her Trooper with gas. My mother went in to the store to pay for the gas and she was in there forever. (This particular gas station that we went to is just a half away from my house). The pump clicked and when I went to put the pump away my co-worker came out of the middle of nowhere and grabbed the pump and put it away. Next thing I know, my mother is coming out of the store, she starts to walk around the corner of the store to see what was going on at the same time that my co worker and I were walking around the corner. We saw a crowd of people gathered and I saw my police department's SWAT team ganging up on a suspect and the K-9 unit dogs attaching the suspect. The police handlers grabed their dogs so that the suspect could be cuffed and brought to the station for booking and processing. I turned on the raido to here what just happened and insted of my mother getting into the drivers seat, my co worker got in and we drove off. I was confused on why she was driving my mothers' car and asked her and she wouldn't answer me. I continued to ask her why she was driving and she knew where I lived and in reality, she has no clue is to where I live.

Can anyone please help me on this dream?

Hello again.

You seem to be having a lot of rather troubling dreams. In your other post, you mentioned losing your mother recently. Is it possible that you are still very unsettled and perhaps aren't handling her death very well? It would explain why she appears in your dream and then vanishes from the place she is supposed to be; also, I wonder if your co-worker could represent a mother figure to you?

From what you said elsewhere, it sounds like you have some very good friends, some of them police officers which would explain why police appear in your dreams, who have been helping you through your loss. This dream seems to perhaps reflect anxiety over people you care about working in a dangerous profession, and perhaps some concern that you might lose them as well and whether you would be notified if anything happened to them on the job.

Given the general trend of your dream threads, or at least the ones I've read, you seem to be looking very hard for a replacement mother figure, which is understandable given your loss, but the overall trend of many of the dreams you've been posting seem to reflect some insecurity with the policewoman who's been filling that role - presumably because she has a family and children of her own. Your dreams in general seem to reflect some insecurity, perhaps even competition, with them; also a desire to overcome it by joining the family more closely and being more accepted, as well as fears of rejection for trying to do so. Having recently lost your mother, it's also quite natural for you to cling more tightly to the people you have now and to be afraid of losing them as well.

You seem to be in a very insecure place right now, overall, and that's probably why you're having so many upsetting dreams. It's really good that you have people to lean on and you should absolutely continue to lean on and talk to your friends, but it might also help you to get some professional grief counselling, or even start by getting some library books on coping with loss. You might be able to find a web discussion group for people dealing with bereavement as well. Even if you don't, time will likely do a lot of healing all on its own.

Well, the one year anniversery of my mothers' passing just passed. The lady that was my mother in law is my friend and shes a teacher. The one person that was my sister in the dream was a police officer. But I do hold my friends and family that are close and dear to my heart eveny tighter. Especially those who are on the force. I am scared that I am going to lose a loved one, family or friend, and not be notified. But this particular co worker that was in my dream, I don't like what so ever. She tried to fire me for no reason. So why would this co worker be in my dream? Especially since she has no clue is to where I live, and I work 8 miles one way from work?

We dream about people we don't like as much as those we do.

From the background info on the co-worker you just provided, I would guess that having her get in the car and start driving might mean that you feel she has disproportionate control over you; she is at the wheel, she decides the course. That she seemed to know everything yet wouldn't answer your questions maybe reflects that you see her as being more powerful and all-knowing than she really is, and are somewhat intimidated by her. Maybe also that you are frustrated working with her since she has the control but won't provide the guidance you need to do your job? That she took your mother's place in the car might be hinting at a wish you could have asked your mom for guidance. If the conflict with the co-worker was recent, then it would certainly make sense for you to be dreaming about her.

But why would everyone else be in the dream? What's their place? And I haven't liked my co worker for about 5 months now.
