Hi all,
I was wondering if any of you wise people on this site have come across the situation I'm in and been able to help?? I recently moved into a new house with my girlfriend, we've been there now for a month, but each night we both have bad dreams, they differ all the time but the general trend is they aren't nice comforting dreams, just yesterday my daughter (who's 3) woke up crying complaining about having bad dreams and that she didn't like the house..this is the first time she's done this but it did upset her, these dreams seem to happen every night without fail, and leave us both feeling uneasy, I don't think the place is hunted, but it is a very old farm cottage that has had many families living in it over the last century, I think I would sense if the house had anything in it as I have had experience with spirits in the past and always been able to sense them if they are about, I'm leaning more towards the fact it is a new house and in a new location for us thus messing with our subconscious … Anyone have any ideas if this is normal?? Any advice would be appreciated... |

Hi,
Of course most of the bad dreams may mean good, like killing or murder mean solving a problem , or crying means a happiness from God. Or running away means to overcome the enemy. But dance and music in the dream language means a disaster is on the way. Besides this I agree that some of the houses have not a good something that I don't know what is that, and there will be always illness and poverty, if it is so and you noticed poverty and illness. It is not bad to change the house because A prophet once said that if you had not a good situation in a place change your place even if you change your seat place. Good luck.

Hi,
Moving will be only needed if serious problems or disaster were probable. Getting up early is not a bad omen it is prescribed by all the religions to get up early before sunrise. Then this is a good omen. Good luck.

A new place des have an effect on dreams. An old house usually has an atmosphere or ambiance you have not ecountered before and it takes some time to get used to. Dreams are very much influenced by scents and smells and you may take the scent to be pleasant, your subconscious is more wary of it. In your reply to verzandeh you wrote: Quote:
Your daughter may have heard you talk about the dreams and thet could have caused her bad dream. However I think it's the general atmosphere of your charming old house that causes your dreams and as soon as you get used to the house, the dreams will be pleasant. Cheers Wolfjk

Ok thanks Wolfjk
This is a very very old plot of land I live on from what I can gather, it's in the doomsday book for starters, I got this from Google about the area I live in: The site of the ancient monastery can be still traced near the railway station by certain mounds and a long moat, which has a branch leaving it at right angles in the centre. Another moat of irregular shape, fed by a small stream, surrounds Lollingdon Farm, a house containing some 16th-century features, but much modernized, while remains of a third moat can be traced near Cholsey Church. North of the church near Cholsey Farm is the site of the old abbey barn. It was probably built about the end of the 15th century, and is mentioned in 1569–70 under the name of Cowper's Barn. It was of great size, measuring 303 ft. in length, 51 ft. in height and 54 ft. in width. The upright walls were not more than 8 ft. high, the remarkably high roof being supported by two rows of stone pillars, each a yard square, which rose above two-thirds of the height of the whole building. The frame-work of the tiled roof was mainly hewn oak, with a few beams of chestnut. The barn was pulled down in May 1815 I'm being told by others on another site this could be residual energy my subconscious is picking up when asleep, that would tie into what your saying about not being used to the atmosphere or ambiance..... Hope it stops soon...I need a good nights sleep!! ![]() |

Hi Graham,
I used to live in an old stone built cottage. At one time my wife rearranged the furniture in the bedroom. The bed head was pointing to the chimney stck. When I went to bed I started hearing noises at night! However they kept on. In the quete of the night I could hear people working underground in a coal mine. Soon I could make out some of the sounds. The old house was above a working coal mine and I could realy hear the voices from underground. I worked in a coal mine in my younger days and know what it sounds like. I turned the bed round the noise went, turned it back next to the chimney stack and the noise was back!. So I seetled for peace and never put the bed head against the chimney stack again. I lived in the cottage for 12 years and it never bothered me. Alas nowadays the coal mines are silent. I am sure now you brought the problems out into the open you will have a pleasant house and good peaceful nights. Cheers Wolfjk
