Hello,
Please tell me you has gone through this. A few weeks ago, this started happening to me, and now it's EVERY NIGHT. My dreams are not realistic. Sometimes I am chasing aliens, sometimes I am a mermaid, sometimes I'm riding around in my car and spitting out pieces of my teeth. But they FEEL SO REAL, like the exact opposite of a lucid dream because I am not dreaming-to me, it's really happening. I wake up and check my teeth. I had a sexual dream about my best friend and I could not even look at her for a week. When I was a mermaid, by far my favorite and the most pleasant dream I've had like this, I had an entire life from childhood to death and remember every day. I started to search the internet for "vivid dream" or something like that, and nothing matched what I was talking about. Also, I always remember every minute of it. I just need to hear someone say, yes, I experience that every night too, because so far everyone I have talked to says, wow, that's weird. That never happens to me. I can't remember my dreams at all, etc. Please write me. |

You should examine what changed in your diet, health and habits in the last few weeks to make your dreams more vivid. Cheers Wolfjk

Your long awaited answer:yes it happens to me too. I have dreams about once a week that are totally sci-fied out, but they are completely real feeling. Latley I have been having one about Freddy Krougar, and I know that sounds cheesy to most people, but its horrifying to me, especially now hat iv had it 7 times. Like you I have searched the web over for an answer to many unexplainable events in my life, and this site is the first I have found thats even close. I hope that knowing you not alone helps you out some!!!

Hi, I'm a 22 year old female from NY. My dreams are real. Every single night. I remember all my dreams, detail to detail. It's almost like I goto an alternate universe when I'm asleep. Sometimes my dreams are a little out of wack but usually they are things that could potentially happen... i've learned how to tell myself I'm asleep while I'm dreaming... but it really freaks me out sometimes.

I think everyone has exceptionally vivid dreams - to the point of not knowing you're dreaming. However, most of us have them once in a while and the feeling, which follows you from night to night, fades.
I think Wolfjk is on to something. While remembering dreams is normal, constant and vivid memory of a dream may be an indicator of a sleep disorder. I remember reading something about phases of sleep and when this becomes a problem. Have you tried looking into sleep studies? I'm sure someone is researching vivid dreams and sleep patterns. It could be a good place to start. |

Hello and wellcome; Vivid dreaming started for me since January, 2006. This is everyday vivid dreaming!!!!!!!!!!!.
Its not a bad thing. It means that you're one of the blessed ones in this time and Age. Sometimes it comes with a lot of worrying as to what its all about. My life/world has drastically changed from before all this started. Prayers has helped a lot!! When the changes start, it can be very unpleasant sometimes, but take comfort in knowing that its all for the best, and God will send his Angels to protect you always. |

Hi, I had vivid dream since I was a child, about 5 or 6 years old, and am continuously experiencing it, and enjoying it. I don't experience it every night, but most of the time, yes.
It's as if I am in another time zone, for what seemed like a week in my dream will appear to just be a couple of hours in the real world. Even during siestas, I am having really vivid dream, and remember the details pretty well. They're out of this world too. There was this one time that I unintentionally fell asleep and appeared that I have reviewed the second part of the coverage of my biology exam in my dream. And, it's really weird. Oh, and I don't know when I am sleeping and when I am not.. I don't think that's very good.. There are times when I don't remember my dream, but these are the times when I have a really bad headache due to overworking.. |

I have vivid dreams quite often. Not every night - last night was a pretty normal dream - but when I have them I know them. They're the ones I tend to write down because I remember them so well. Heck, I've gone so far as draw the layout of a house, or one time a map that included not only the layout of the bookstore I ended up in, but the park I walked through to get there.

I don't feel like a freak anymore! Every time I'm in a group and the subject of dreaming comes up and I mention that I remember my dreams sometimes several a night people look at me as if I am crazy or lying. This just happened and they man I was talking to would not accept that I remember my dreams and that I can wake up "do my business and go back to sleep picking up where I left off in my dream. I can not find any information on this. I did a search and everything comes up "I can't remember my dreams". This is the first site(message board" that has anything on people remembering there dreams. All I have read so far though are peoples stories. Does anyone out there know of a book that can explain why we remember our dreams. Am I CRAZY? do I have a brain tumor? I would like some kind of explanation, so if anyone has anything to share, please do. I have to admit I was a heavy drug user back in the day, but I have not touched the stuff in over years. Thanks for your time and your testimonies. |

I have no clue, really, about there being books or anything. I have heard somewhere that gifted people are more likely to have vivid dreams, and somewhere else people describing having a dream world they live in when they sleep.
Anything else I could tell you would be my from own experience. I don't know that I've ever woke up and then fallen back to sleep where I left off, but I have had dreams where I remember the place I'm at and what I did the last time I was there - and it does feel like accessing a memory because I'm not reliving the memory in the current dream. |
