Default How can one tell if a dream is prophetic?

I've had a number of prophetic dreams:

Among others, I saw 3 of my children in a dream before they were born -- all of them during my pregnancy with one of them. I saw two of them in a dream again when I was pregnant with them and didn't know I was having twins.

I was on the verge of a divorce at the time, facing being a single mom of 6 kids. Now, on the other end of that hard time, I see how the dream helped me cope because I kept remembering seeing the children healthy and smiling (which they are -- very happy children!) in the dream.

Not long after that dream, after my ex moved out, I had another one where I was sitting at a kitchen table with a very old, wrinkled woman. She was so old, she didn't seem human, but she was very wise. I thought maybe she was an angel. She was telling me, "You will marry young again. It will not be easy, especially while they are young. Glory my dear... Glory". And she patted my hand and gave me a deep, sweet, maternal smile.

So here I sit, a few years later and I wonder if that was prophetic or just wishful thinking. It's certainly gotten me through a few heartbreaks (though I haven't been in a romantic relationship). I'm definitely not young, at the door of 46.

Can anyone shed any light here? It's bugging me a little at this point.

Hi,

i'd like to share few things b4 i talk about your dream.
Marriage is usually commenced by two things - love and necessaity.
If love can drive us, we can go on and say that the love is a form of energy in our lives.
But the nature of human love is somewhat incomplete,
and because it is not perfect,
the energy of your love is very volatile.
This is why the marriage joined in love is very shaky and unstable,
and more likely to end in a big explosion.
Finding love is, then, finding the right stablizer for your love.
(There is a reason why the marriage is also called 'holy matrimony'.)

Marriage out of necessity - though it has less endurance than its counterpart - usually sails off smooth,
because they have knowingly sought out the stablizers in their mind.
You can hold on to much longer on the things that your mind can control,
but not on the things that your heart is unsure of.
This is why the older people or who have gone through the rocky relationship put more weight on the wordly things in finding a spouse.

hope this helps

lilolehs,

I got little carried away i forgot to tell you about your dream.
I do see a man with a picture of 'M' who is surrounded by the round metals.
and he is very picky about the color red.
On the left.

but,
pray in faith for an answer to your dream.
Many prophets have done the same thing, asking God for a sign.
And i believe is the foremost thing you need to do in order to get an answer.

sorry i couldn't be any more of help.

I'm a little confused about what you mean. Do you mean that "Marry Young" refers to the fact that being older would cause one to rely more on logic and thought when choosing a mate, rather than love?

As far as the letter M, you got my attention, because my last heartbreak (which I'm still not over) was a man who's name started with M. I suspect, if it's him, he'd have an aversion to red, since he had to go through dialysis several times a week (lots of red blood). Things blew up with us when he (a very healthy, athletic man) was diagnosed with kidney failure.

What are "round metals"?

Hi lilolehs,

no not at all.

Marriage by far changes everythhing in your life,
being young means having a full of hope, many blank pages to fill.
'marry young' then can be translated into 'hope changes'.
Love brings hope, hope brings endurance, endurance leads to faith, and it is in faith that one will find a true glory.

I can tell you of the things I see in your future.
but what good would it do?
I don't even know what tomorrow brings myself.
how can I then speak of your future?
how can anyone?

dont dwell on such things, nor pay too much attention to unknown readings.
the fact that you're rearing up 6 kids by yourself shows the strength you already have.

I believe you will know who is the right man for you,
not because of the prophetic dream but in guidance with the faith.

sincerely,
