I've never had this dream before...

Last night in my dream I was sitting around a small table, as if at an outdoor cafe, with a few people and among others sitting in the same fashion. Thing is, the tables and chairs were high above the ground. The chairs were high and rickety--though I was the only one who was having problems--almost as if I was sitting at the top of a poorly built aluminum ladder that was swaying under my weight. I was afraid to look down, and felt as if I was at least 20-30 feet high. I was frightened and very nervous, holding onto the table to try and steady myself but still not feeling secure. I also did not know how to get down without falling, and no one was able to tell me how. I did watch one person get down easily, but myself was frozen and unable to do so.

Later in the dream, I was back at ground level--don't recall how I got there--and able to look at the table and chairs from a new perspective. What seemed so high and unstable from my perch was actually only 5 or so feet off the ground.

Does anyone have any input what this might mean?

Perhaps you are worried about an upcoming problem or situation that you're not sure that you can handle. (maybe a new job?) The other people in the dream seem competent in their handling of the "chairs" ("job"). Maybe you feel that you may not perform as adequately as the others in the dream, and fear failure.
The end of the dream may be telling you that the problem wasn't as big as it first seemed, and that you will become comfortable in the situation.
