Teaching In a Weird School

I was teaching in a school, but the building itself was made up of the combination of a house where I used to live and a church where I used to worship. My class was so spread out and I was trying to teach my class study and test taking tips. There was a chalkboard that was high on the wall and three young girls were floating in the air and writing on these chalkboards. I was able to have them come down because I saw the principal coming and I knew that he'd be angry if he saw three girls floating in the air.
Then I went into the basement and there was a horse trainer getting hay for his horses, eh explained to me that the grass was going to die off early from the cold and that her needed food for his animals. Next, I met my wife and we kept walking. I saw a stone hearth, but when I looked closer, I saw that there was a wooden hearth made from oak and walnut underneath. I turned to my wife and told her that we had made a big mistake in placing stone over such beautiful wood.
Any help or interpretations are always welcomed.

Thank you for interpreting my dream. A stone hearth or mantle was built over a wooden one made of walnut and oak, could you be more specific? My mother-in-law passed away 16 years ago.
