I beleive what some people have already said like, having a nap puts stress on you and makes you go into this awful state. Or say you put your alarm clock on snooze and puts pressure on you waking up.
For me it feels like a force is holding me down, like noise in my ears (like when you yawn and it feels like airs goin out your ears). I cant move but most times i can hear the TV. I find it really scary though as it feels like im trying to escape by trying to contract my muscle really frantically or trying to scream for help. This just makes it worse. I really feel i need to wake up or else i will be trapped like this forever. Sometimes i actually escape, i can move but suddenly i 'fall' back in to it again, asif im drowning and i keep falling below the surface. I scream but its like i open my mouth but no sound escapes, asif im trapped in some sort of space that swallows sound and the possibilty to move. Id love to talk too someone with the same problem because it makes me not wanna go to sleep. Thanks Tom |

Yeah now when I have them I get upset sometimes because they are annoying. It's like common already!!
I want to get a decent nights rest but I can't because these weired dreams are as if I am half awake and theres a spirit that wants to hurt me or whatever. I know I am asleep tho but Its such a light sleep..I can hear the tv on or anything else. Sometimes I will be sleeping so lightly the tv will become my dream and whatever show say a country western ..I will dream about being in the wild west..or the news.. I will remember the whole weather forcast for the next day.Anyways, So I wake myself up somehow like move my hand or shake my head...but when I get up I am upset so It takes me alittle bit to fall back into dream land I will keep having them all night long repeating...finally frusterated I wont care anymore and I am so tired that I go into deep sleep mode. |

well the person who posted this message has only posted one message in total and has not replied back.
sounds like sleep paralysis to me. ------------------------ Dreams can use one set of emotions from the past to show how we are feeling something very similar right now. That’s where many dreams can be misinterpreted. Many psychologists point to deep and traumatic events that we are bringing up within our dreams. Yet they are mistaken. The dream is not about that incident. The dream is comparing that traumatic incident to some current situation with something that has just happened. Yet because the dream seems to be about the event in the past we assume that’s what the dream is about. But in reality dreams will be often simply saying "yesterday was as bad as what happened last year". Many times we seem very upset and things seem chaotic but after a good nights sleep the previous day’s events will be put in perspective. It may have seemed a nightmare when we couldn't get the printer to work or when everything seemed to go wrong for you on a particular day. Dreams depict events in our head. Our mind often exaggerates situations and feelings. So many times these crises within our mind get quickly forgotten. But dreams will deal with these here to day and gone tomorrow emotions. No matter how bad a dream seems to be, it is always necessary to your well being and safety in sleep. When you have abad dream like a nightmare or a sleep paralysis dream, your subconscious deems it necessary to frighten you outof your wits so you wake up and remedy the problem in sleep. Oftentimes we go to sleep overstressed, over tired, sometimes with a fever or a bad indigestion when we need these violent or unpleasant dreams to wake up! If you regard your dreams - be they good or bad - as your guardian angels that keep you alive, you will go to sleep with an easier heart. You should pity the drug addict or alcoholic whom even the most vivid and violent dream can't rouse from the sleep. Cheers Wolfjk

I had such a dreams 4 months n then hey stopped, but it happened to me again yesterday. They r so scare that it really freaks me out n I don't want to sleep again, because sometimes it come to me immediately again, 2 or more times in the night. So it's not logic to come from a bad position??
Like some of us I feel evil presence, sometimes it harms me, I can't move or speak or wake up n everything around me is like in a fog. The worse thing is that I feel it totally real, like I'm totally awaken, but the reality is strange n scary. I don't know why, but usually I start thinking of good things, ot light n angels or something..when I wake up I need a lot of light, voices, music to get calm..I was really freaked out of this, because I don't feel it like a nightmare, who comes to protect me n tell me something..I feel it like something evil in me or around me, trying to harm me..n it's so ****ing real..but this forum, this topic is really emollient..maybe it's just stupid brain game, but I really want 2 stop it, how to stop this? sorry 4 my bad english |

Your problem is that you believe in evil spirits an frightened of them. It is easy for your subconscious mind to bring one into the dream and frighten you awake. As for the causes of the dream ? Stress and nervous exhaustion are the main causes, sleeping on your back, especially if you are overweight is also one of the causes. Very often the person suffering nervous exhaustion, or even full blown nervous breadown does not realise that he or she is ill. You have to look into your own life to find the cause. Cheers Wolfjk

i think I know what is d problem..I have an obvious one in my life, but I just can't beat it 4 now..so isn't there something else to do to stop these dreams now?I don't wanna dream it again n again till d day I'm ok..but u r so right that I believe in too much things n don't accept d dream just like brain games n sleeping..maybe thats way it freaks me out so much..d nightmares r just nightmares when u know that they r not real..I want to believe that that's all my imagination..but its still so scary to go to sleep again after it..even 2 stay in d room..I've never felt so scary in my life..even when once I was almost drown myself n I think I'm gonna die.I don't know how to stop these dreams or just stop myself feeling scared of them..any ideas?:/ |
