Hi,

It is ignorance about the nature of dreams that deceive people to believe in posessions and evil spirits. Actually it is your own subconscious that uses your beliefe in the supernatural to good effect. Your fear is always a good alarmclock to wake you. Cheers Wolfjk

Hello! This particular event is why I found this forum.
Last night I had an odd dream. I was laying in my bed and Madea from Tyler Perry movies was there and I "had to wake up." I tried and tried many times to wake up to. In my dream I was thrashing my hand on the bed, forcing myself to get up and walk several times to the point of actually saying to myself within the dream, "dayum, I'm still in the dream" and watching myself go back to my bed. I literally tried waking up so many times I remember telling myself I was in REM and had to wait and got to the point where I knew I was dreaming within my dream. I've had many, many a dream where I can't wake up, but this was different. I knew I couldn't wake up, I made excuses, and I acknowledged in my dream I was dreaming. |

i have dreams like this all the time. once i dreamt that i was in bed lying exactly the way i was, but in my dream i looked next to me and there was a man in my bed holding me down. i then tried waking up and thought i had 3 times, but then i would realize i was still sleeping. i dreamt i threw myself onto the floor to get up, but couldnt wake up. it took a while and when i finally woke up i was panicking. i also frequently have dreams where i hear my phone or someone talk to me and i try and answer and cannot physically do it. i had guessed it had something to do with hearing things around me because it usually happens when its not quiet.

Hi everyone im Justin this morning I fell back to sleep, this is my dream but if anyone recognizes anything familiar please comment.
I woke up from an other dream into this dream and the first thing that I noticed was that I had 2 laptops beside each other well in real life I have 1, I first thought that I did some sleepwalking. I walked into the rest of my house, it was a complete mess. I went into the garage & there was a huge car, at that moment I realized that I once again I was dreaming but I couldn't wake so I went outside there were people there that I have never seen before so I asked them what year is it and they said 2012, I could tell that they thought that I was crazy for not knowing the year, also 2012 is the year some extremely old calendars say that this year is the dooms day year. I told them I was a smart person and I had a website for myself so I grabbed my UMPC, if you don't know what that is google it, then I put in my website url it didn't work then I grabbed my cell phone it didn't work ether my service had expired my contact book was empty they said that they would take me to some smart people and in a blink of an eye I was there and the people are old and not the wise old people just old people who didn't en know that I was there. Between everything I always tried to wake up I never saw or could see anyone I have ever seen before. So I went to people’s houses and in my wake less rage I jumped on top of cars & started to destroy them by jumping on the glass and the cars were a lot larger than regular. well then I kept thrashing than I jumped onto the ground & I was in this room that I have never been into & finally I woke up but when I woke up I was soaked in my sweat. Please tell me something about how this happened or something describing what happened thank you - Justin email: Darthskywalker354@gmail.com |

This happens to me every time I nap, and recently I have been wiki-ing it to try and figure it out. Before this website, the only thing I could find similar to this was lucid dreaming. Are these two related in anyway? And if so, could we potentially control them to be pleasant/interesting experiences rather than frightening ones? Wolfjk? Anyone?
Gracias! |

The aim of the dream is always some degree of lucidity! The dream slowly (or sometimes very quickly!) brings the sleeper to respond to the dream. By the time you become lucid the aimof the dream is reached! In sleep paralysis dreams the idea that one can't move or can't shout is there to bring on lucidity, since when you are lucid you can move, and ether wake up or move out of the bad sleeping position that caused the bad dream. Some lucid dreamers claim to change the course of the dream, However by the time one gets lucid enough to make a conscious decision, it is another dream and probably a daydream! Cheers Wolfjk

When I first started having these weird dreams. It wasn't like a dream to me. I can explain them in detail most of the time. The first one I can remember like yesterday. It was six years ago. They have been reacurring ever since.
My first one was the most intense. It started out.. this spirit was trying to pull me into hell. I was frightened, so I yelled ..but nobody in my house could hear me..I was stuck in this dream..all that I could hear from myself was mumbleing, when really I was wanted to be loud. The dream was loud tho full of screaming and I felt everything around me was shaking so violently. I pushed my fists out to see if I could break out and When I "woke up" I was touching the ceiling of my room. I even looked down at myself in bed. I used all my energy to try to get back into my body. I gasped in air and I shot up out of bed panting like I just ran a mile. My heart was in a panic state when I woke. Ever since then I've become used to these dreams and I want to explore more each time. The lucid dreaming technique is great for these dreams. I have become quite the adventurer. I imagine different scenarios. Lastnight my dream was one of the reacurring dreams, it started shaky.I imagined a dark door with an evil hand. I wasnt going to walk to the door. I did though. Sorry so long but it's so neat other people have these same types of dreams. It's great to read. |
